I went for a follow up. Waited a half hour. Then the clerk said I owed over $300 and would have to pay something in order to see the Doctor. I wanted to know what the payment was for. It took some time before he told me is was for a bill send in October that wasn't paid. I told him, I never received a bill. Another office member overheard our discussion and she said the same thing. I wanted to know what the purpose of today's visit was and she said to go over my records. I told I already had the surgery and this seemed like just another way to get more money our of me and the insurance company. The waiting room is filthy and crowded. The exam rooms are also dirty. The receptionist is rude. The nurse practitioner didn't bother to read the My Chart history and I had to point out several issues. Does not care about keeping his patients waiting for hours. My husband's first appointment we waited an hour. the second appointment after waiting one hour and half my husband left never to go back. this is unprofessional and uncaring in our opinion. I called about 15 minutes before they closed on a business day and got the answering service. Left a message asking to get a call back. The next business day no response. Called the office at 3p and asked the gal if they were open at which she said they were and explained that I called previous day and left a message and never got a call back. Didn't get an apology or anything explanation as to why but jumped right into question what my name was and how she can help me. Bad first impression. One doesn't choose a cardiologist for their personal warmth and charm. IF your health issues are serious enough that you need to engage the services of a cardiologist, you're looking for one of those guys who was top of his class and is completely up to speed on the latest information related to cardiovascular health. You want a technical ace. Although it certainly doesn't hurt of said cardiologist is warm and engaging and also has a professional, competent staff. These are nice people on top of Dr. Bagheri running a top-level medical practice. Even in the Coachella Valley, where there is a dearth of top-level medical professionals who are taking on patients, sometimes you can have it all. My husband started seeing Dr. Bagheri a few years ago. He had changed cardiologists due to the prior guy missing a VERY IMPORTANT MARKER in his lab work, which led to some long-term health issues from which he has finally recovered. The previous guy had never missed something important on me, and I continued to see him. My husband nudged me to switch docs. And I'm glad I did. Not that the previous doctor was inadequate for my general cardiovascular needs, but he'd become professionally complacent and was no longer an ace. And if you need a cardiologist in the first place, you really want an ace. Good enough ultimately isn't good enough. If fancy offices are important to you, Dr. Bagheri might disappoint. You won't see his offices featured in Architectural Digest. He spends his money on high quality staff and has cutting edge equipment in his office. Conversely, my last cardiologist had fabulous looking offices, but the staff was an ever-revolving number of incompetent, underpaid staff. I'm considerably more impressed now. read more

Dr Bagheri is the BEST! I have been a patient of his since last year. From the day I met him I felt so at ease. Very soft spoken, compassionate, caring, and throughly explained my conditions. Fast forward... On May 1st 2024 I went to Desert Hospital with shortness of breath and chest pains. As soon as Dr Bagheri was notified, he and his staff jumped in to action. Within minutes he took control of my case and expeditiously ordered an Angiogram. The results were not good. Two blocked arteries. He made the decision to implant a stent in one of the arteries and prescribed medication for the less threatening one. During the procedure Dr. Bagheri kept me well informed on everything he was doing. I felt so safe in his care. I immediately felt much better after it was done. He followed up with me after and I was out within hours. I plan to keep Dr Bagheri for s long as possible for my cardiac care. I got an abnormal EKG leading up to cancer surgery. I needed a consultation with a cardiologist to determine the severity. Dr. Bagheri's office refused me as a patient because I wasn't already a patient and he was too busy to see me in the week before surgery. Worse, his front office strung me along before giving me that news, making it even harder to find someone and more stressful to me. All I can say is that they must be heartless to turn someone away in my circumstances. I did see a cardiologist. Staff ran a fresh EKG and the doctor interviewed me for 10 minutes. Not hard! I have the extreme good fortune of having Dr. Bagheri as my cardiologist. I started to see him back in 2019 shortly after finding out that my older brother had a heart attack. Knowing my family history of coronary heart disease (my paternal grandmother, my father, his only brother, and now my older brother) I thought it a good idea to meet with a specialist like Dr. Bagheri. And I am glad that I did. Thanks to Dr. Bagheri's devotion to making sure we carefully monitored my vitals on a regular basis, prescribing constant blood analysis, and his recommendations that I undergo regular testing we discovered that I too had a serious cardiovascular blockage in my left anterior descending artery. In March I had open heart surgery and am happy to say I am feeling great and better than I did before the surgery. Without a doubt, Dr. Bagheri helped save my life, along with the wonderful heart surgeons at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage. Of course, just as important as Dr. Bagheri's competence as a cardiologist, he is a friendly and warm human being. I always enjoy our conversations when we meet for checkups. Dr. Bagheri is the best Interventional Cardiologist in the desert. I am a 79 yo retired Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon (DDS, MD) with history of atrial fibrillation and stoke. Recently developed ventricular arrhythmia with severe breathlessness and fatigue. A nuclear stress test revealed areas of cardiac ischemia and my cardiologist referred me to Dr. Bagheri for an angiogram. The angiogram revealed a 75% blockage of my LAD coronary artery and I was told that I would need either major coronary artery bypass surgery or complex stent placement surgery soon. Dr. Bagheri placed the stent in early January and I was discharged from the hospital on the same day. Played golf one week later. Feeling great now with 100% flow in LAD. I just have no words to describe how grateful I am for his great workI. He is also a very kind and caring person. read more

I had a sudden 100% blockage of the LAD and received an emergency cardiac catheterization with a stent placement at DRMC by a visiting cardiologist from San Diego. I had no prior cardiac history nor a cardiologist. I asked various health care professionals for recommendations, read reviews and selected Dr Bagheri. His office gave me a new patient/post procedure appointment within 10 days of discharge. He took a thorough history, read my hospital records and ordered appropriate follow up cardiac and laboratory tests. Dr Bagheri is calm, patient, polite and provides medical information that is easily understood. Masha the nurse practitioner is equally thorough and detailed. The office staff is polite, efficient, willing and flexible with scheduling as they can be given high demands and volume. The office staff is always friendly ready to help, answering questions and communicating my concerns to the doctor. Dr Bagheri always gives his full attention and listens. In mid October 2021, I went in for a visit feeling exhausted and just not well at all. Dr. Bagheri immediately recognized I was in need of a stent, and walked me through the entire process at Eisenhower Medical Center.
