He is quite rude, such as using a table saw in my kitchen and leaving the sawdust until I asked him to clean it up the next day. He refused to read intructions for materials he is unfamiliar with even though I had printed them for him. Thus he required me to be on hand constantly to correct problems. The work performed was mediocre at best, the siding job he did had seams stacked on top of each other and could have been done much better with forethought. One of his staff damaged expensive equipment by wreckless use. His staff was discourteous and would walk away when I gave them instructions or not answer me. In the end, when I saw another incorrect application of materials I insisted he read the instructions, he decided to leave the job. Just too much work for him I guess. All in all, lazy and incompetent. Also only works 7 hours a day and charges for a one way drive.. seriously in Kanab? All in all my experience was disappointing. A big concern was when he did not appear to know if flashing went over or under weather barrier, same with roofing felt. These are basic construction concepts that even I as a home owner know. He charges 85 an hour for 3 people and I found them to be very slow. One guy just stands there watching most of the time. I would say use someone else if you want the job done right and in a reasonable amount of time. Another concern was that he suggested that I would write my last check to him personally, instead of his business, and he would write me a "bigger invoice" for my taxes, which constitutes tax fraud. I thought it rather bold that he would suggest that. He appears to have no boundaries.

We wanted the toilet moved- all plumbing re-routed, added a sauna bath tub, new sink vanity and linen closet, new windows, ceramic floor tiles with radiant heat, faux stone paneling and reconfigured the shower stall. We also had to upgrade the electrical panel. He does excellent texture and painting and did a great job with the faux stone even though he never worked with that medium before. We still have a few things to complete but we're very happy with the outcome so far...

I just had a new ac unit put in by them, and they made it so easy. Within a week, they got the…read moreparts and set an installation date. They showed up when they said they would, which does not happen very often in Kanab. Took them two days to do the work, and it was completed like I wanted it installed. No BS, just did it like I wanted it. Great job, fast, easy, and would do it again with them if I need to. The best part was that the cost was less than half the price I was quoted from another company in town.

We spent another $3000+ yesterday on the same AC unit in the last review....another, reputable company found that Desert Air had used COPPER TUBING in the fuses they had to come back and reinstall....remember they had them in backwards??? Well, they were too cheap to get a $2.59 fuse and replace it. They felt completely OK with allowing something illegal and dangerous to be installed. The mobile home could have burned down because of this lack of care and non professional service. AND we also learned that our unit was poorly welded, and that the entire unit has been known to fail because they cheaped out on that too. The company that came out says they see this ALL THE TIME from Desert Air. Seems to me that if you were in fact a REPUTABLE company and a man of honor like your "Army Vet/Helicopter status" is trying to indicate, you would STAND BEHIND your work, good or bad, and DO WHAT IS RIGHT! Nope....you choose to be shady and irresponsible and none of your victims have any recourse. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY....IF YOU HAVE UNITS THEY INSTALLED, FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, GET THEM CHECKED BY A REAL HVAC COMPANY!!!!!
