I'm so thankful to have finally given Mealbox a try after hearing about it a few years back. I never ended up trying it because it wasn't customizable at the time for the packs and I don't eat any seafood but now they have added the ability to subscribe and choose your meals every week. As soon as I tried my first meal I immediately was on the website ordering next weeks meals. I was super impressed with the quality and taste. No other meal delivery plan even comes close to these. I love the variety of the menu changing every week and giving me the opportunity to try new things and find my favorites. There will always be things I don't like as much as others but the stuff I've liked I've LOVED! I see myself continuing to subscribe to Mealbox which has made it super convenient for me and supports local business. They also offer Family Packs if you do have a big family for easy yummy meals and delivery is free with weekly delivery! The North Shore Garlic Shrimp Plate was solid, and the Asian Cucumber Salad was a nice side. The Spicy Salmon Poke Bowl was good, though I would have preferred the salmon raw and a bit more heat. The atmosphere is very casual and self-service. Chef/owner Dan is a genuinely nice guy and a great chef. If you like rotating themed menus in a relaxed pop-up setting, this is worth checking out. We spoke with his daughter who now runs the store and she was so incredibly nice. Everything is made in-house and the love and care shows. We were just passing through but knew our next hotel had a bbq so we bought several varieties of sausage to try (fresh polish, smoked polish, garlic and fennel, german, hot dog plus some bacon, jerky and snack sticks). Our favorites? We loved both versions of the Polish sausage and the bacon....5 stars for those. 4.5 stars for the Italian fennel and garlic and 4-stars for the remaining items. If we lived here, we'd be regulars for sure. Apparently there is a huge festival that make all the sausage for. Its amazing that they hand make all those sausages for this festival. What a treat! If I am ever in town when that is happening, I am going! Sorry I don't recall the name of the festival. I had planned on taking pictures of the grilled sausages but I forgot until after I cut them up. The next day I cooked up the remaining sausage and completely forgot to take pics. The best (and most flavorful) way to experience this post is to go the the butcher shop, buy, grill and eat these sausages and bacon...:-).

He's also popped up at Dandelion and in the Switch in Blackstone. What I love about him is his efforts to harmonize African flavors with new American cuisine to introduce and make it palatable for newbies to the African scene. We had a chance to talk to the chef and it was really nice seeing his mission to bring more African tastes to Omaha. Currently I have only tried this type of flavor at Okra and Chaima's.
