I went for a grade 2 MCL tear and was seen by Dr. Ronek Patel who said it's nothing major after…read morereviewing the x-ray and MRI, and that I would only need rest and a knee brace. I had already purchased a knee brace on Amazon and showed it to him and he confirmed that's what I needed. Then pulled another one from his drawer and said here why don't you also take this it's covered by the insurance so I did. I later received a bill for $623.9 for it! I called the office they said well he didn't lie it's covered just not entirely. Honestly that's deceitful and almost fraudulent not to mention that the cost for it is a rip off. America has the worst and most unscrupulous healthcare practitioners in the world.

I have mixed feelings about my interaction with the business as a whole, despite the positive…read moreexperience with the specialist doctor. I ended up paying for an unwanted item (that I had returned to them in pristine condition), despite being assured that I would not have to pay for it. At the end of my doctor visit, the nurse offered me a cheap looking elbow pad (basically a sock with a harder inclusion), which I didn't think of as necessary based on my conversation with the doctor. She did not mention any additional charge associated with the pad, and I considered it to be a complimentary item (the same way a dentist's office would offer small samples of floss or toothpaste). I paid the fees associated with my visit at the front desk, and again there was no mention of the pad cost. However a few weeks later I received by mail an invoice of $15 for the elbow pad (my insurance having been charged $25 as well). That was an expensive sock, at $40 apiece. Since I had not used the elbow pad, and found the charge unwarranted, I called the phone number mentioned on the invoice to dispute the charge. The lady I spoke to was polite and professional. She apologized for the misunderstanding and assured me that I would not have to pay the invoice if I returned the elbow pad to the (Sugar Land) clinic. She specified that I would have to talk to Sara at the front desk. And so I did. While obviously not happy to hear about the reason for my visit, Sara took back the sock, made a note on a piece of paper, and told me that I was all set. As I was leaving, it crossed my mind that I should have asked for a receipt, because I was not comfortable about her body language during our conversation. But I didn't do it, for fear of not offending her feelings. Well, another couple of weeks later I received another invoice, for the $15 I was still owing for the cheap sock. Sara may be doing what she thinks is best for her employer, but this is in my opinion not a respectful way to conduct a business. I paid the $15 invoice, since it is already not worthwhile dealing with it--besides I do not have a sock to return anymore.

I trusted and felt comfortable with Dr. Parsley from the first visit all the way through the surgery and follow-up. He took his time explaining everything to me and I felt comfortable and trusted him to do his part. I knew from the first appointment what to expect and what I needed to do and what he was going to do. Surgery was one day and I went home the next day. Dr Parsley applies today's latest technology for a less invasive surgery and a quick, painless recovery period. He did a great job, He asked me to do my part, lose weight and do my exercises before and after surgery and it all turned out just like he said it would. I would recommend Dr. Parsley to anyone in pain who needs a total joint replacement. Dr. Parsley is a wonderful person with a great bedside manner. He is going to replace my left hip in 4 weeks. When she was not in the office Alex did a great job as well. I didn't feel like I was just a patient being moved quickly in and out. But rather I appreciated their showing of concern for my well being and improvement. These PT's know their stuff. Their techs are first class too. Initially Alec worked with me and was a blast. Then I finished my PT sessions with Ladonna and thoroughly enjoyed her. Jasmin at the front desk is wonderful. She assisted me with all billing questions and any issues I had and went to extra lengths to take care of everything. I definitely recommend this facility to anyone seeking physical therapy. I've been to a few due to many previous sports injuries and these people are the best.
