I trusted and felt comfortable with Dr. Parsley from the first visit all the way through the surgery and follow-up. He took his time explaining everything to me and I felt comfortable and trusted him to do his part. I knew from the first appointment what to expect and what I needed to do and what he was going to do. Surgery was one day and I went home the next day. Dr Parsley applies today's latest technology for a less invasive surgery and a quick, painless recovery period. He did a great job, He asked me to do my part, lose weight and do my exercises before and after surgery and it all turned out just like he said it would. I would recommend Dr. Parsley to anyone in pain who needs a total joint replacement. Dr. Parsley is a wonderful person with a great bedside manner. He is going to replace my left hip in 4 weeks. I had to return after a year, because the abscess returned. This is fine, and was sort of expected…read more What was not expected was the shift in treatment I received. Dr. Dempsey recommended that I have surgery to sever the ducts responsible for the abscess, and scheduled a day and time. At the time, she was also supposed to send a prescription for antibiotics to my pharmacy, so the abscess would be at least partially reduced prior to surgery. When I stopped at the pharmacy on my way home, they had no record of it. I went to the pharmacy the next day, and they still had no record of it. I called her office and left a message regarding the prescription. Mind you, we're talking about antibiotics, here, not schedule 1 narcotics. There was no return call or even a text. Next day, the same thing. On the third day, I was contacted by my pharmacy that my prescription had been sent. Now, the time of my surgery has changed. This, in and of itself, is not a big deal. The thing is, that date was changed days ago, and her office didn't notify me through any available means. Communication is important. I'm just glad it was me and my minor issue, and not some poor woman needing a biopsy on an unknown mass. I'm lowering my rating because it seems that Dr. Dempsey's office has forgotten that it may be Tuesday to them, but, for their patients, it's potentially the worst day of their lives.

Prenatal care: Visits seemed extremely rushed, like she was always in a hurry, but she was never…read morerude. She was definitely nice, and always asked how I was feeling. She justified everything as normal, but agreed to prescribe me some heartburn medication since none of the OTC things were working, and mine was so bad that I couldn't even lay down without intense burning. She was empathetic when I ended up with a PUPPS rash, and gave me suggestions of things I could do to ease the discomfort. Since I had a scheduled c-section, she gave me several dates to choose from, which was nice. Postnatal care: This is where I have issues. The MFM had me on baby asprin since week 20, and I'm not sure if there was a lack of communication, but I was never informed that I needed to stop taking it prior to surgery. That being said, I ended up with pretty bad postpartum hemorrhaging that could have been easily avoided. I will say, I do like that she made my incision super low so it's not visible even with bikini-style underwear. She also put "everything" back well, so my abdomen looks defined at times because of how she placed everything. The nurses are the reason I skipped my 6 month postpartum checkup. I don't remember their names, but one of them was super rude to me when I called about my postpartum hemorrhaging. I even remember one of them being sassy when I would call in for questions while I was pregnant. It's also alarming that I skipped the appt, and no one ever called to check up. As bad as this sounds, I still haven't gotten checked out, but I plan on finding a different OB/Gyn and getting a very overdue postpartum check. Nurses make a huge difference in how the patient feels about a practice, and I have to dock off a star because of their service.

My overall experience was just okay. The job was done but this is not what I am looking for as my…read morefirst time mom experience. My complaints are: 1) Dr. Wong is extremely rushed and does not pay attention to detail (she is not rude though). She does not make your visit personal and I am just patient #123. I understand doctors are busy but in that setting I am a customer so I don't care how busy you are. For example, I asked her to check a few things once she walks into the room and she does not remember to check until I remind her again before she walks out. She does not take her time to chat with you and see how you truly are doing (I especially value this because I am a first time mom and I am anxious and nervous about everything.) 2) Office staffs are not friendly but they seem to improve a bit after I sent a complaint to the main office. They are not patient in answering your questions and of course I had to deal with them on wrong billings. 3) Although I have never met Dr. Wong's nurse Rebecca, I already dislike her due to her phone etiquette. She makes you sound dumb and has attitude when talking to you. In summary, if you are looking for a passionate and personal OB/GYN, unfortunately I would not recommend Dr. Wong even though she receives good rating from the majority reviews.

Things that I like about this location: There are two ultrasound/X-Ray, diagnostic departments. One within the hospital itself and one near the Breast cancer center allowing you to have multiple dates to choose from. Based on every emergency room visit and there were too many this year, while I wasn't always 100% satisfied because I think one ER person was in a mood, but overall every time I winded up there, I always was taken care of promptly and my needs were addressed. They contact my specialists too and I feel like they take me seriously, when I go there. For surgeries, the surgical team, suite, nurses are some of the best. One post recovery nurse even gave me a handwritten get well note post procedure. My husband was informed every step of the process and I liked that I had dates that worked with my work schedule. Parking is free, unlike lame Houston. I hate being sick, you've probably noticed the lack of Yelp reviews because of it, but the only reason I'm able to yelp or even have any semblance of life is because of this facility. I am thankful for them because otherwise, I'd be stuck going to terrible hospitals, which I won't bother naming. But if you've ben to them, you know.

I was lucky enough to get scheduled the following day after my injury at Methodist Orthopedic Sports. It was not with Dr. Borque at first. However, after the initial physician examined me and saw the severity of my injury, he spoke to Dr. Borque to see if he could evaluate me. Without hesitation, Dr. Borque took the time to personally introduce himself and already had a plan worked out for me. I had an MRI done that same evening, and the next morning Dr. Borque went over the results with me thoroughly and scheduled a surgery date. My wife and I walked out with fear of my injury, but confident that God had placed the best knee surgeon to take care of me--and we were not wrong. His bedside manner is phenomenal, and he truly has a servant's heart. During all phases of my surgery and follow-up appointments, he always took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns. His compassion and dedication go above and beyond for his patients, but also for the patient's family. We are deeply grateful to God for placing Dr. Borque in our paths during this challenging time. I was filled with fear about the outcome of the surgery, thinking I would be limping for the rest of my life--but to see myself walking like before and gaining my strength back on my knee after six months is truly a blessing. I will never have enough words of gratitude for Dr. Borque and all he has done. The injury and the process were not easy, but working with him was a blessing. Thank you, Dr. Borque and team, for your outstanding care, compassion, and unwavering support. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts. - The Gomez Family.
