They'll call the day before to tell you wants up and what to expect. I missed all that part. My bad! Don't wear any jewelry. Don't take a huge purse there's NO need for it! Wear comfy open in the front kinda shirt, slip on shoes the whole nine. No metal hair pins either. They helped me with all of it none the less. But here's the clincher for me. After my final exam before surgery Dr Moore prayed with me and for me and for him and for a positive outcome!!!!!! Did you hear that? He prayed!!!! Hallelujah Jesus bless that man!!!! I so needed that. Anyway the anaesthesia person was great. The nurses were all great. I can't believe they can get up this early and be functioning at such a crazy high brain capacity .... as to make these wonky boobs into great art pieces .... it is beyond me!!! Well, I went to sleep for a while and woke up groggy. Obviously. But the pain was managed so I was fine. They told my husband all the things before we left and the rest is history. I'm healing marvellously. (If that's how you spell it. I have England's auto correct settings) strange. I love love love these people. A few I wanna call out special are Deb for being awesomely YOU, Emily for taking care of all the back end stuff (yucky paperwork). I was disappointed with his lack of caring when I developed a serious infection from the procedure and ended up in the ER. He hung up on me and my daughter when we called for help before going in to the ER. The ER doctor called Burgdorf ( his friend from church) and I was sent home, after two urgent care nurses had sent us to the ER due to the severity of the infection. We returned to Burgdorfs office the next week where the nurses cut off the infected parts and treated the foul odor. Upon seeing the scarring after the procedure, Burgdorf said there was nothing he would do for it. He did not offer solutions.. I was embarrassed that I had paid him so much money only to look worse after the procedure. He also removed fat from my hips, which are now uneven, a minor thing in comparison. Ive stayed quiet about his treatment as I'm embarrassed about having the plastic surgery. A friend told me it's my fault if he does the same to someone else, so with no other recourse, here's my review.

The ambiance is more of a spa than a doctor's office. The Staff - All women! Sorry guys! But that alone made me feel empowered just being there. Every one of them is super kind and friendly. They called me by name on the first visit and every time after. At one point, I called the office to express some fears that I had, and Tara, Dr. Amaka's assistant, was able to "talk me off the ledge." The anesthesiologist is incredibly entertaining and gentle. I didn't even realize she had put me under until I woke up after the surgery. One minute we were talking about Cinco De Mayo and margaritasand the next minute, I was getting dressed post-op! ‍ The Doctor - Dr. Amaka, is incredible! Her warm, gentle demeanor is calming and immediately put me at ease. I was expecting a barrage of physical medical history questions. No! She asked me questions about me and who I am. For example, she complimented my necklace and then ask me to tell her about it. My necklace! She asked why I wanted the surgery and why now. It was more than a routine medical consult. The denial was delivered from the computer, via computer, via their website and had NO MEANS TO REPLY TO THE DENIAL. So do you think Vanderbilt Cares?
