This little place on a side street not far from the water is sweet! It was also a nice, welcomed,…read morehealthy meal while traveling. We ordered: A few fruit smoothies-both were refreshing, fresh and downed rather quickly. I went with Le tropical and my daughter chose the Le Bronzette, which was a nice combination of berries. Reasonably priced! Many to choose from! -Veggie quiche-flaky crusts and layered with all sorts of veggies. Served warm. Well liked. -Salad sampler- our choice of two salads from the prepared case. We chose the chickpea and the wide rice salad. Both very flavorful, dresses lightly, but adequately and given in very hearty portions. When we had the leftovers boxed to go, the man behind the counter even replenished the baguette chunk it came with. Nice touch. -Nutella Crepe-perfectly thinly folded crepe with a generous amount of the hazelnut spread. (Kiddos flipped for this one) -Espresso for one euro. Whether you're looking to just to sip espresso and take a moment watching the boats come in or the mini train that goes around town ride by, or to jump start your day or afternoon with some fresh pressed juices or smoothies and a dose of greenery, this place has you covered. It's a simple pay at the counter joint with tables outside only. When we dined it started to rain and the umbrellas at the colorful tables were big enough to keep us dry. It was actually quite lovely to be outside in the rain on the harbor. I remember having a "European moment" and just taking it all in here. Kiddos loved how bright & happy the place was and the cute trays everything was served on. Parents, if you bringing your kids here, they're probably going to want to ride the train after. Just a heads up! Plant based options galore!! Service was very friendly! Free WiFi. Cash only!

We just had the best meal since coming to France at Le Jardin d'Amalula (The Garden of Amalula)…read more When we asked the owner what Amalula means, she said it is a contraction of the first names of her daughters: Amandine, Lucile, and Laurine. Laurine is the chef. The outside of the restaurant is inconspicuous; in fact, we walked right past it. But you walk down a corridor, through a small courtyard, and then into the small restaurant. But it's the garden out back that is beautiful. That's where we sat. My wife had Le Provençale, a tartine (toast) with bush cheese, red fruits jam, dried figs, dried tomatoes, and parma ham (like prosciutto). Delicious! I chose the plat du jour based on the owner's recommendation. Not sure what it's called but it was a tartine with tuna tartare & passion fruit, chutney with mango, pineapple, & red pepper, slices of avocado, and orange zest with pink berries. I don't know how they do it. Amazing flavor combinations. Glad we found this place with plenty of time to go back another time or two. Highly recommend!
