It was a friend who led me to China Town. We opted to order off the menu instead of the buffet. The hot and sour soup was a little different than what I'm used to, but it was a pleasing (if peppery) flavor. I enjoyed it. My main dish, however, was MORE bland and boring than I've ever had. No problem, right? just mix in some hot oil and give it a minute to sink in, right? Except they don't have any hot oil available (what?!?). My eggroll was soggy, chewy, and tasted frozen. I'm gonna guess they grabbed it from a vat on the buffet (that's what I would have done..)
If you're into quantity (buffet) or just reallllllly like Chinese food, no matter what, then maybe you'll enjoy it. But if you're the slightest bit snobby about it, there's nothin' to see here.
