I took my daughter to Miami Threading Spa because she wanted a henna and we read the reviews and thought this place would be a great, however that was not the case. When we arrived to the spa we were barely greeted and after a 5 minute wait a lady appears with two tubes of henna and sits on the sofa next to my daughter. This automatically shocks me because i thought that as professional as the reviews claimed to be there was no special room or table. My daughter proceeded to show the lady the picture of the henna design she wanted and the lady kept on insisting that my daughter do another design. Thank goodness this was a henna that comes off in two weeks and not tattoo. The lady proceeded to do the henna free hand with no sturdiness so she wrote lop sided so the design came out slanted and she spelled the actual wording wrong even after being given the correct wording in the photo. After all this has occurred and i wanted my daughter to sit still while it dried the lady commented that she was leaving the store insinuating that we should leave as well. Then she goes on to say that if we want it to dry faster we should go to the beauty salon next door and ask the receptionist for a blow dryer. My question is if henna is a service she provides then why doesn't she have the proper tools set up and accommodations for her customers? I came here randomly because I work at FIU and I needed to do my eyebrows so I googled somewhere nearby; I would usually go to International mall to thread them. Totally different experience than I was used to at Intl' mall where they were very rough, it was usually a very painful experience and my eyebrows usually came out thinner than I wanted. This place is amazing; I can't remember the woman's name but she is the sweetest and she has a gentle touch. She also let me know that they were pretty much butchering my eyebrows at Intl' mall. I would NOT be returning! Owner (Mia) thinks she knows everything. First of all, she botched both of my eyebrows and I pointed it out to her and she had the audacity to say that's how it is suppose to look. My eyebrows are both crooked and one is larger than the next. There is no way you can tell me that's how it is suppose to look. She never listened to me or tried to correct her awful work when I explained to her how unhappy I were with my eyebrows. i just got my eyebrows and upper lip threaded for the very first time and she is SO GOOD it was done really quickly and perfectly. i had ZERO pain, i have heard that threading can be quite painful but the technician did it painlessly. As for the threading of my eyebrows, Sweety (also the owner) did a great job. She arched them perfectly and kept them full as I wanted. In fact, of the last 7 years of getting my eyebrows threaded, this has been the least painful! She took her time, was thorough, and shaped my eyebrows beautifully. Everything about this place is amazing. I wanted to thread my eyebrows for the longest time, as waxing is not as precise for the thick shape I wanted, and I was beyond pleased after leaving. The owner is so sweet and extremely good at what she does. She is precise and she is funny too. For anyone doubting if they should make the switch from waxing to threading, do it!
