Her professional demeanor and aggression at going for what I, her client wanted was remarkable. She answered my texts right away, called to ensure everything was running smoothly during my application process with the condo association and followed up with me to make sure everything was ok. I highly recommend Marcela as a realtor. Her experience, people skills and enthusiastic nature make her an excellent agent.

I browsed online to gain an idea of the types of apartments available for my budget but after seeing multiple listings with the same photos and different addresses, I was spooked and immediately sought professional assistance in Marcela. Given the pressure I placed upon myself with a last minute move, I was happy to have an experienced realtor on my side. Marcela was a great asset, not only because of her real estate access but also because she understood my situation and understood there was no room for error nor delay! After discussing my requirements for a South Beach apartment, Marcela sent over select listings via an online portal, which also gives access to all of the listings for the area. I was thankful for the listings she selected but decided to look through the 214 available listings to ensure I found the absolute best option. Having the freedom to leave no stone unturned, creating notes viewable by Marcela via the portal, and feeling informed of every possibility was an empowering experience. With lofty goals, of the 214 listings, only 1 listing fit my criteria. Discovering the unicorn listing was a blessing, but I knew we had to act quickly. Within hours of notifying Marcela, she video chatted me from the apartment, and confirmed it was as beautiful as it's photos. Immediately after, she prepared and submitted my offer! Within 72 hours of discovering the apartment, I was approved, and a major weight was lifted off of my shoulders. Without the help of Marcela, I truly don't believe I would have such an exceptional result. She's extremely professional, diligent, charismatic, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and compassionate. I am overjoyed with my new South Beach apartment, and some days I wake up believing I'm in a dream. My move was minimally stressful, and I give all thanks to Marcela for being an extraordinary realtor!

Therefore, I knew I needed a property management company to handle those unique set of challenges in my absence. I had researched many properties management companies online in the Fort Lauderdale area. I happened to come across Icon Realty Management and Brokerage. After reading the great reviews and my conversation with Ben and finally meeting him at the property. I decided to have them manage my property. Within 2 days of Icon Realty having the property in their listings, it was rented on day 2 (two). Ben, At Icon Realty has truly been professional and responsive thought the whole process. I highly recommend Ben from Icon Management for anyone looking for a Management and Brokerage firm. DM Celebration, FL

I believe that Icon Realty was involved in hacking my bank account. I leased an apartment in the heart of las olas/Fort Lauderdale from December 2016, from Atlantic loft llc. I agreed to pay a 2 month security deposit of $2400 as well as first, last and security (pretty standard) got my key, etcétera. After 2 different companies handling our property, ICON Realty came in January 2020 and revamped property by implementing a ***online payment service ***** aka , a way to get into your bank account. I questioned who this is and why I had to use this system to pay, not only to be replied with "It is our new system and you have to use it, you must pay rent this way or consult your attorney" As I went ahead and used it but decided to not renew my upcoming ending lease of 3/30/20. I emailed, texted and explain that I would not be renewing the lease because not only I don't trust the payment system, I had a very difficult time communicating with Benjamin (who by the way runs the whole thing). He ignored all my calls and the ones he replied, he did very rudely. I promptly moved out on schedule and handed him the keys along with my original lease agreement. He took the keys and said that He did not have a refund and I would need to wait 30 days to receive one on the mail. Now 30 days later. My bank account has been HACKED and bank investigated the multiple charges leading back to that January rent payment. I have been getting random withdrawals from different wiring entities totaling over 1k so far. Due to covid19, I can not yet file a claim in court. And the reason I am writing this is to WARN tenants and landlords about companies like this! I am attaching the refund check I just received. What a joke! See you in court.

Principal Properties was very unfair to me as a tenant when I lived at one of their apartments. I…read morepromised myself at the time that after I moved out I would post reviews everywhere I could to prevent the same unfairness from happening to others. I moved out towards the end of 2019 after living at Petit Maison in Virginia Gardens, a building occupied mostly by Section 8 recipients. During the time I lived at Petit Maison I encountered so many problems that I could not list them all, however, I'll try to give some examples. First of all, there was no real onsite manager. There was only an older resident who was just a liaison to the owner and who could make no real decisions. It took me months to get a defective stove replaced and days to have a stopped-up bathroom unclogged, among other things. The sewer system once flooded my apartment and I did not have running water for days or hot water for a month forcing me to move to another unit. After I was forced to move, my rent was raised another $50 because the new apartment, as the owner put it, was a corner unit. Never mind that my rent had already been raised that same year and I did not have Section 8 or that moving was not my fault. I never used the swimming pool. While I lived there the "swimming pool" had several Department of Health warnings posted shutting it down for problems with the water quality. Most repairs took days. My refrigerator once developed a bad odor, and I spent days smelling the stench because the owner, Juan Rodriguez, took days to decide to splurge and replace it with a similar old, second hand unit. Most everything they provide is second hand. Oh! The parking is ridiculous! The building only has 2 visitor spots for 27 units and no handicapped facilities. Some selected tenants are allowed to have and park up to 3 cars in these visitor spaces, so forget about having visitors. Never mind that the lease clearly states that only 1 car is permitted per apartment! The lease agreement was a one-sided agreement observed only to protect Principal Properties. My lease said NO PETS, but they allowed another tenant to have a dog in the building and running around unleashed. I saw other pets from time to time although the lease clearly did not allow it. I could go on and on about these people but I would need a book. The best advice I can give is stay away. Why did I stay there so long? Sadly, I could not afford to move and they knew it. One of the worst things about Principal Properties was (and probably still is) in my experience their lack of empathy and poor service. When I tried to reach the owner to discuss a problem he seemed to always be unavailable or in a meeting. But, God is fair and just! I finally moved out and I am adding my reviews to every website I can to alert others about my experiences. Beware!

Anyway, I passed by earlier this week to do a remote training for Microsoft Excel. It was either this office or one downtown, and well, this one was closer. The course lasted the majority of a workday, with three breaks (the largest one being when we broke for lunch). In terms of the class, I felt it was very productive. I did find the set-up strange though as I imagined I would share my class in person with more people. Turns out I was alone in a room with a hook-up to speak to my teacher and 20+ other students from around the US. The setting was comfortable. Chair made it easy to focus, as did the equipment. I would definitely tell people to take a course here if it's with the ONLC. My only thing is that I wish I had gone on a day when the staff at the reception desk were more friendly. Don't mistake me - the woman was nice, yes, but when I filled out my course evaluation and realized that most people point you to the bathroom from the beginning, my opinion changed. Truth is I had to ask where the bathroom was rather than being shown upon arrival. That just seemed lazy to me. Funny thing about the bathroom, too... you need a code to get in. Regardless, it was a good day, so I wouldn't be opposed to returning if need be.
