Did this tour with 15 of my friends over 2 years ago and we still talk about it all the time! Such a fun and unique experience and learned a lot. Decided to take my friend from DC on a tour who had mentioned she wanted to see some breweries and she also loved it. It was a different experience than my first tour which included samples at Funky Buddha, LauderAle and Wynwood Brewing - I loved getting to know the breweries and brew masters. On my second tour we hit up Veza Sur, Concrete Beach and Wynwood Brewing and started at Union Beer Store - it was perfect for an out of town guest because we got to see Little Havana and Wynwood. Our tour guide was awesome and so were the other people on the tour. I definitely think it's more fun when you have a big group and organize it as a private tour which has to have a minimum of 15 people. I definitely suggest comfortable shoes, wedges are comfortable but not exactly the best for going up and down the bus steps. Another pro-tip, EAT breakfast before because not a lot of breweries have food. I recommend this to anyone who loves beer or looking for a fun tour experience. Me and the beau hopped on the Miami Brew Bus last Saturday afternoon after I snagged a Groupon a couple months back. We started at Lokal and I was happy to be greeted with a couple beers while we waited for the bus. I was eager to check out Funky Buddha and Wynwood Brewing Company as I have had their beers in different places around town but never actually been to their brew sites. Unfortunately, there were a couple things that turned me off. Our tour didn't begin until one hour after we were told to arrive because the bus wasn't there. This was a little annoying as I could only wait around Lokal for so long and my boyfriend started getting grumpy... On top of that, there was a rowdy group of about 8 who showed up for the tour already a few drinks in and they continued to drink more on the bus and beyond. Made the atmosphere feel more like a college pub crawl than a city brewery tour. All that aside, our guides were as nice and can be and I loved getting an inside look at the two breweries and tasting all along the way. You drink plenty and it's worth the $60 price tag even without the Groupon. I'd encourage locals and tourists alike to take it. Pretty soon, they'll be adding MIA Brewing Co to the mix which I'm certain will be a great addition. read more

NPS = 0 A simple case of over-promise and under-deliver. Miami Brew Bus (stated on the website) will take you to 3 breweries. I was extremely exited to get with friends on a bus and visit these breweries. I wanted to learn all about the craft beer scene which has exploded in recent years. The tours in themselves were very informative and it was great to get a back-stage look at how the beer was made. However, a business SIMPLY cannot promise something and then not deliver on that promise. It would be perfectly alright to charge the price being charged if THREE breweries were visited. But instead, what customers found themselves doing was paying full price for 66% of a product. In school, if you got a 66% on an exam, you were failing even if your other answers were all correct. Miami Brew Bus only ended up taking us to 2 of the 3 breweries because one of the breweries (MIA Brewing Company) is under construction. However, Miami Brew Bus found no problem in advertising it as a destination on their website and charging full price. The price tag on the Miami Brew Bus is not worth it. It is a really cool concept, but you are better off renting a van with the price you pay and having a DD drive you around. I am sure the Breweries themselves would be happy to give you a tour without too much of a charge, if they even charge you at all. I hope Miami Brew Bus figures out its quirks for the future because the group was a really great, nice group of guys...but the value simply is not there. read more

Had a great time aboard the Miami Brew Bus on January 18th. I actually purchased it as a Christmas gift to my boyfriend, a lover of beer and someone who had never been to a brewery. It was perfect. We met at LoKal in Coconut Grove at 11:30 AM, enjoyed a welcome beer from Daddy Brews. The bus picked us up and we headed to Funky Buddha in Fort Lauderdale. The tour was great, very informative. Beer was delicious too. Took a growler to go and headed to Wynwood Brewery in Miami. Again, tour was great and took a growler to go. Last, we went to Titanic (instead of the originally promised MIA Brewery, due to construction issues). Wasn't a problem at all. Our tour guide, Dave, was great! Very hospitable, constantly making sure we were having a great time. The group was intimate, a perfect size for this type of activity. Highly recommended for tourists and Miami natives alike. It's a perfect way to spend your Saturday. read more

Had a good time despite the bus having no air conditioning (in August in Miami)!!! The website is inaccurate/vague regarding what you get at each stop and how many breweries are visited. We went to 2 breweries and one rum distillery. First stop was Funky Buddha in Oakland Park. The tour takes you through the small batch brewery and you get to try a few of their beers (small pours- barely enough to wet your lips). Beers were delicious - funky flavors - loved the Fire in the Hole, a raspberry habanero brew. After the tour you could hang at the bar and order some beers and growlers for the road. There was also a pretty good food truck outside so you could get some grub. Next stop was Wynwood Brewery. Upon arrival you got a pint of your choice- the order is phoned in from the bus by the lovely Sunny (Sonny?). Sunny was our Brew Bus tour guide and chaperone ;) She kept us imbibed and in line and gave us tidbits of beer facts en route. Brewery tour at Wynwood was good- the mustachioed guide was informative without boring us. After the tour you can order a pint at the bar and another food truck was stationed outside. Last stop was the Miami Rum Club where you got a behind the scenes peek at how your mojito's most important ingredient is created. You got your choice of a cocktail or a chilled rum shot at the end- again very modest pours. Overall it was a good time, but not as much bang for the buck in terms of actual beer/alcohol. read more

We had a really good time aboard the Miami Brew Bus. It's an ideal activity for tourists and beer lovers alike. If you're looking to discover a popping new scene in our city, this tour is definitely an option for a weekend adventure. Out-of-towners and friends are sure to enjoy this equally. We can also foresee large groups for celebrations like birthdays and bachelor parties taking full advantage of the hop-on, hop-off concept where responsible drinking and driving is at the forefront. And because there's also someone on board that may be a little hesitant to drinking beer, Miami Brew Bus encourages guests to bring along their alcohol beverage of choice. If by any chance you're interested in purchasing growlers to go, they will volunteer to store them in their coolers for you. Now, that's good hospitality on wheels! read more

Absolutely amazing tour! Art was our tour guide and he was the man! Super chill guy and made it worth every penny. There's different tours, but we started at Union Beer (their headquarters) and started with some Ales. Then we kicked off the tour with Tripping Animals Brewery where we continued enjoying drinks and took a tour of the Brewery. We got to hang out for a while and eat delicious Brisket while playing corn hole. The second Brewery was Unbranded Brewing Company before finishing at Cerveceria La Tropical in Wynwood, which is a really cool strip of Miami. We then got the option to get a ride back to Little Havana or stay there and explore Wynwood. You get done in the early evening so you can just continue the night from there if you wish to do so. Each Brewery had really great tour guides that had very extensive knowledge of the brewing processes for Ales and Lagers along with the history of the Breweries and how they became incorporated into Miami. Its awesome for both beer connoisseurs or if you're just looking for a good day drinking event for a bachelor party type setting. Definitely would do again! read more

I'm from the Twin Cities (which is quickly becoming a craft beer capitol) and a typical guided brewery tour here will visit 6 breweries in the time it took Miami Brew Bus to hit 3. This wasn't a huge deal seeing as craft beer is in its infancy in Miami. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were provided with bottled water, which was great. While the distillery was very interesting, I think we were a little disappointed that we were paying for three breweries and only technically hit two. Overall, great experience -- I'm sure they'll work the kinks out as they get more tour experience. read more

Host is good, breweries choice are good. We had a good time just because friends and beer is always a goood combination. To be honest the bus has nothing special, point atraight it is a regular bus with cooler and paptoe chips on it. Went on the tour on 5/31/2015 with 2 of my girlfriends. We are all from the East coast and have plenty of fine microbreweries in the area. But not a brew bus tour so we were interested in what Miami Brew Bus would be like. We arrived via taxi in Wynwood and was surprised to be standing on the sidewalk for 15 minutes before we could enter Kush. Once inside we were handed a plastic cup of beer and stood with group of 25 people. We were then moved to another room in the building that was small and cramped. We decided to stand outside to wait versus inside with a party of 25 people. Since the bus was late arriving, I would have expected another free beer but instead we stood outside on the side walk waiting..bummer #1. Once the bus arrived, we had to wait for the bus driver to arrive. I was getting a little disappointed until Big Lou arrived! Big Lou the bus driver was awesome!! He was entertaining and informative. The tour started at Kush and then Funky Buddha, Lauderale and Wynwood Brewery. The Funky Buddha tour was great. Barbie the tour guide did a great job! We didn't have a tour at Lauderale or Wynwood Brewery...bummer #2. It would have been nice to have someone from Lauderale or Wynwood to stop over and chat with the group. Plus there was nothing to purchase like shirts or glasses..bummer #3. In addition to the tour we got to experience a high speed chase on the way to the brewery! Big Lou was in total control of the bus and provide commentary of the event unfolding as we chatted "Big Lou, Big Lou!" I agree with some of the other comments. One pint glass and 3 beers is not enough for the price. If it wasn't for Ivan, Big Lou and the high speed chase, I would have rated this maybe 3 stars. Please expand the tour to breweries that provide a tour, pint glass and beer. There is nothing better for a business than a walking billboard. read more

The owner CiCi was nice enough to open a bus for us on Sunday which made it possible for all 11 of us to go. The tour guide Sunny was friendly and so passionate about beer that she made for some good entertainment. All the breweries had great beer and excellent customer service and Miami Rum was a great way to end the day. We then ended back at Kush for some amazing food and great service. So let's start from the beginning... Our bus was 45 minutes late. There was no daddy brew complimentary beer upon "check-in". The bus had a broken door which our "Miami brew bus director" had to hold the door shut. Our first stop was due south brewery. No tour set up, our director said "I'm trying to get you guys a tour". 10 minutes later it's time to go. Then came the salt water brewery... Another ten minutes and our director pushing us out the door saying there is a full kitchen at our next stop. We got a new bus but a window is now broken and it's raining... Our last stop funky Buddha... I just get my food and this $$&@$$ is giving me a box telling me it's time to go. We get on the bus and realize someone lost a personal item. Our oh so gracious director comes down the bus aisle checking for this missing item which was lost INSIDE the bleeping brewery. After accusing us of having it he has the audacity to say "it's just a shirt". Thanks "Ivan the terrible", you made our experience unforgettable.
