This place is a joke. I took my baby to get his haircut and after $250 dollars, I left happy with the service. It was not great but ok. I wanted to book another appointment but was told that I was not welcomed cause I did not leave a tip. It was not my intention not to leave a tip as i assumed the tip would be included in the price . My fur baby gave them a hard time. She was quite anxious. They did better than expected. I'm so sorry. It seems that Ginger had canine dementia. She couldn't hear or see well anymore. We were on vacation and needed a place for our pup. Grace was so nice and could tell she was a doggie lover. Anytime we called to check up she was very pleasant let us visit throughout our vacation. We thought our pup was going to think that we had abandoned hime and it was the complete opposite! He saw us for a few minutes and wanted back into the playroom to play with some doggy friends! This is a great, friendly place for pet grooming now at 3911 Alton Road. I was concerned about the review by Henry S. and contacted the owners. They informed me the following, which I quote: "He was told prior to boarding dog about the bath. We have the doggies socially interacting and going on walks so all get exit bath. He refused to pay last day of boarding and bath at discharge. Both were credited to him in a gesture of goodwill. His dog is a regular size dachshund, no mini there. The first time I take my blind schnauzer , the job, eccect a little cut under her neck, was a good job; the second time, them has not time so I decided to give her just a trimming, I wasn't happy and the receive was not like the bank statement, added 20 $ tip, with no reason; I tell then the result I call for an appointment for a full stripping and the excuse was that grace has an hand problem, two month later I ask a friend to call for my little one, they schedule for today at 10, when I arrived, them said wasn't true, he didnt conferm, lied, I can show a message, but when he calls then said that doesn't accept my dog anymore because I said the true; them don't accept any criticiam, but are so coward that don't said to me, when I was there just said she was busy for the next 4 month. I rarely write reviews. Unfortunately, I have had only dreadful experiences with this spa. Putting aside the cost (in excess of $220 for my English cocker spaniel to have a haircut, stripping not clippers, to be fair), the first occasion was an all-day affair, drop off at 9am and pick-up at 4.30pm. The second haircut, I was quoted $140 only to be charged $240 all in for the cut - additionally, they asked me to drop in my dog at 9am, and on the basis of the prior haircut, I apparently incorrectly assumed that it would again be an all-day operation. The spa told me, at pick-up, that the cost would be an additional day charge for pet care, notwithstanding it wasn't disclose and because they managed to finish the haircut early. I live an hour away and basically am not on call to collect the dog if they happen to finish up early. In any event, the final straw today is that, when attempting to book the dog in for a haircut, I am now told that the groomer is booked out for 4+ months. Hard to believe.. I cannot stress enough how totally disappointing and unprofessional this establishment is. Much better spas in and around Miami if you want to avoid a shakedown and totally unprofessional service. Grace has been grooming my long haired cat Goldie for two years. Goldie is very sweet and pretty shy. Grace knows that she is a bit scared of the blow dryer so she has another way of drying her that takes longer but is less stressful for the animal. (For purposes of comparison, I paid $10 to have my Mini Cooper washed, and it weighs a lot more than my mini-dachshund). Beware! I've been taking my Rocco here for almost 8 years (back when they were located at their 1st address). They upgraded to a bigger and better facility on Alton & 41st now. Magda and Grazia are truly animal lovers with the patience of saints. I know because my old guy can be cranky but they still manage to do an excellent job on him each time.
