During my visit in Miami I decided to go to the only parking garage I knew around the area and that is this one. The garage is easy to find and there is only one entrance and one exit so the only thing is that it tends to get backed up at certain times of the day. Parking is charged per hour and a flat fee later on at night during the weekends. The garage is very convenient to everything you would want to visit on Ocean Drive. The staff that works the gate is friendly and they make sure to remind you not to lose your parking ticket or you will be paying the max fee for the day, which you really do not want to do because that is unnecessary money you are spending. The hourly rate is $2 per hour with a $15-$20 weekend and event flat rate. What is great about this location is how many floors of this parking garage there are and that you will always find a spot to park. The garage is also very nicely lit and I felt safe while I was walking away from and back to my car later that evening. You can even pay your parking fees from your phone if you have a certain Miami beach parking app downloaded or from a couple kiosks at the first floor entrances, that way you do not need to wait in the line where the exit is and fumble around with your card while you are trying to leave.

Parking is a nightmare in South Beach and even more so when there is an event. I remember last using this garage when going to ARTECHOUSE Miami. This parking garage was a live saver while trying to find parking for the South Beach Food and Wine Festival. The garage on Collins was already filled and traffic was at a crawl when we were lucky to score one of the last spots here. Kudos to the city who had abundant friendly staff working that day. I was assisted with both getting my parking ticket and when I paid to leave. I opted to take the stairs down from the upper floor rather than ride a crowded elevator and the stairwell was actually pretty clean. The hourly rate is $2 per hour with a $15 weekend and event flat rate. They didn't even charge us the event rate. We were charged the hourly and it was a very fair $9 to park here for the duration of the festival. The garage was only a half mile from where we needed to be. This garage is very convenient to everything you would want to visit on Ocean Drive. I definitely will consider parking here the next time I go to South Beach.

What?! $1/hr at Miami Beach?!?! (From Jan. 13, 2018)

Alright, I know, it's a parking garage. But for Miami Beach, $1/hr is such a steal! I couldn't believe my eyes. My friend and I parked here for Art Deco Weekend. I had assumed that parking was going to cost an arm and a leg since the beach is so touristy and I've parked on street meter section that cost around $3/hr. But no, it was a $1/hr! The parking spaces are a tad bit tight, but if you have good parking skills, you'll fit your car right in. You get a ticket when you enter the garage and then pay at the machines on first floor or at the exit when leaving. The stairs were a bit smelly, but overall, awesome garage at a good location in Miami Beach!

It look like someone tried to brake in my car but over all wasn't too expensive to park and the location was perfect.

It's $20 flat rate on the weekends. The prices listed here from previous people are outdated.

Great space. Got there at 11AM and left at 6, only $20. I recommend parking here if going to the beach.

This garage really saved me. I was searching for parking at the beach for the free John Summit and…read moreCalvin Harris concert and was driving around for at least an hour. The concert attracted over 200,000 people to an area where parking on an average day can be challenging. All of the streets near the beach were already blocked off so the beach garages were cut off and all of the streets around the residential area require a residents pass to park. I was about to give up when I remembered that I sometimes have luck near Collins Park when there is an event in town. There was plenty of parking in the Collins Garage and it was only $2 an hour. There is space for 516 vehicles, retail space, EV chargers, and bike parking. It is conveniently located next the Bass Museum and Collins Park and across from the street from the beach. A unique feature of this garage is the art work on the outside. The garage features a crossword puzzle design on its perforated metal facade that was created by architect Allan Shulman. The 28 selected words are backlit at night and relate to the area's culture, environment, and history. In 2022 it won the award of excellence by the Florida Parking & Transportation Association Board of Directors. From the garage I was easily able to easily pick up the Miami Beach Broadwalk across the street that took me straight to Lummus Park. It was a mile and half hike each way but walking was still better than sitting in standstill traffic. I got back well after midnight and felt perfectly safe here with the staff keeping watch over everything. I had a lovely chat with Pierre on my way out. Note that they do not accept cash. You can pay for your ticket at a kiosk to make exiting quicker if there is a crowd or at the gate on your way out to the street.

Miami Beach Parking Lot 71

Miami Beach Parking Lot 71

(1 review)

I have kept this a secret for years but now feel that it's my duty to spread the news of this…read moreamazing public resource! There is a public parking lot at Collins Avenue and 46th (just past the Eden Roc Hotel). It is public parking lot #71 and has approximately 426 parking spaces. They are open 24 hours, and there are lights throughout the lot for evening parking. There is handicapped and motorcycle parking in addition to spaces for cars. It's a single level parking lot. You pay via electronic meters, they are $1.00 per hour. Great location if you are going to the beach or going to the pool or for a meal at Eden Roc or Fontainebleau. But the real secret is evening parking on Fri/Sat nights! Why is this parking lot so amazing, you may wonder? If you are a Miami Beach resident (your driver's license must have a Miami Beach address- a guest or passenger in your car can also fulfill this requirement) this lot is a flat rate of $6.00 to park on the weekend evenings. It's not valet; the attendants write down your name, license plate # and phone, you pay $6, choose your own spot, and you're done. Easy peasy. I went to dinner at Fontainebleau (a block north) this past Saturday when the Fontainebleu was absolutely packed: DeadMau5 was performing at the pool, LIV was getting read to host an all night party for Ultra Music Festival, and it was the Black's annual charity gala in the ballroom. Talk about valet issues!! Knowing that my "secret" parking lot was awaiting me while the rest of the taxis, limos and drivers waiting for valet yelled and screamed and pulled their hair out was such a great feeling! Even better was when cars ahead of me decided not to park in that lot because of the $20 charge (the typical evening rate, it is manned by attendants, you can't simply drive in on weekend nights) and I was able to drive in, pay my $6, park, and be on my way. I also used this lot when I attended a SOBE Food & Wine Festival event in February and it worked like a charm then too. I mentioned it to a Fontainebleau employee and he said that many of the hotel employees park there and he was surprised I was able to get a spot (at 9:00pm on a Saturday night). I told him that I have a Miami Beach driver license and that was the "open sesame". So, Miami beach residents (or those of you who have friends that are, and ride in your car!), it is an absolute steal to pay $6.00 to park in this safe, secure, well-lighted and attended lot on a weeknight! Why pay $25 to Eden Roc or Fontainebleau when you can pay $6? If you end up not wanting to or not able to drive home, you can also park overnight.

Will keep this one short .. wanted to keep a car with me on my recent trip to Miami Beach although…read moreI knew it won't be used much .. so was in the search to find somewhere to park it and leave it but close to my hotel to avoid the $45 per day hotel parking fees.. my choices were Charles which is right next to fountainbleu or the public beach lot which is about a 5 min walk from fountainbleu.. Based on the 2 Star reviews I was iffy to leave it here but based on the location and me being lazy to go move my car out from the $20 dollar beach lot every morning made me settle with Charles.. Charles is practically right next door to fountainbleu and if you have your hotel key you enter the hotel from their side entrance which is a quick 2 min walk from the garage.. As you will read from other reviews this place is a rental car garage as well so there is constant traffic from that but did not feel any different from any other parking structure.. So is Charles good for parking overnight ? Yes and no if you were like me and not driving your car you will end up paying the same as fountainbleu with there added hidden fees.. if you are driving the car and just returning to park, this place is going to save you some money since it is based on hourly charges.. 4 stars for location and convenience 1 star for hidden fees By the way if you are a hotel guest and planning your trip to this area and wondering if you should rent a car.. won't say it's needed for Miami Beach since there is a free trolley and uber is available.. if your going to places out side of Miami Beach then it will be helpful.
