Or you just want to find a no bullshit, no haggle mechanic who knows his way around turbo vehicles? Then Gustavo is the one for you. I came into his shop with my newly purchased but not so new Subaru 2005 STi. I immediately said to him "I want 800 horsepower and be able to drive my car daily and I want to rally it on the weekends." Needless to say he laughed at me, made me sit in his office and we started on a more realistic plan for my car. Had I gone to some other mechanic I would have dumped a whole bunch of money that was needless or gotten shafted. He will guide you and let you know what you need for what and he'll try to save you money on the side as well. Plus I can tell you that Ive never seen another mechanic who takes pride in his shop. Everything is properly placed, clean and quite organized which means he doesnt fool around looking for tool rather than fixing cars. The shop is adorned with his countless of first place trophies from races. This guy knows what hes doing.

I had an extremely disappointing and hurtful experience working at this shop. I was offered a…read moreposition with the promise of salary pay. I made the difficult decision to leave a secure job. Shortly after starting, the owner went on a two-week vacation without officially assigning me as acting manager, despite clearly expecting me to take on that role. Which I did very well except that During her absence, another employee--who was clearly resentful of my position--sent the owner misleading reports about me. I documented everything with photos and proof, but none of it seemed to matter. When the owner returned, I was abruptly fired on Father's Day weekend with no explanation. After an emotional conversation, I was told I could return--but now only on commission, not salary. Despite that, she continued to expect me to manage the shop in her absence (which was more than half the time). Soon after, a new employee started--apparently hired to replace me. I later found out he was being paid less and didn't have legal work authorization. While I don't blame him, it was clear the owner was trying to cut corners at any cost. What's worse, she has expressed disturbing views, including racist comments about Black customers. As the husband of a Black woman and the father of mixed-race children, this was beyond offensive. Her actions and words were deeply hurtful and unacceptable. Ultimately, I was told to stop coming in because there was "no work," yet the other mechanic was still allowed to wait around for jobs. I was then told to remove my tools from the shop with no acknowledgment of her promises or wrongdoing. The level of mistreatment I experienced was not just unprofessional--it was abusive. I would strongly caution any mechanic or customer against doing business here. This shop does not value honesty, fairness, or basic human decency.

I wish I could comment as to their work but after keeping my car the entire day, their doubling the written estimate caused me to have to go pick it up and go elsewhere.

Nissan car owners dream! Fast, honest, reliable neighborhood mechanic…read more This is the best place in Miami to get your car maintained or worked on. The mechanic here is a former mechanic at one of the Miami Nissan dealerships, and he is great with all cars but knows everything about the Nissans. I live in South Miami, there are lots of mechanics in this area, and even though High Tech Auto is a further drive for me, I would choose to put my car in Dennis' hands (head mechanic) over any mechanic nearby. His prices are unbeatable (unless you do the work yourself). They don't sell you on work you don't need done, they don't try to convince you that you need tires every 30k miles, and they don't try to sell you on wiper blades or air filters on every trip. If you think you can buy parts online cheaper than with them (out of the 20 times I have had them replace things, only once have I found it cheaper online) but don't know how to put the parts in your car, you can take the part into Dennis and they will do the work for you. If you go that route, be sure you aren't buying cheap parts, as for some parts for the car it is better to have genuine parts put on it. They will even help you with that. This is a great, honest mechanic. These guys are very hard to find and I have been so lucky to find the best. This is the first review I have ever written for anyone on yelp, and only have done it because High Tech Auto is truly deserving or some great reviews.
