Had I gone to some other mechanic I would have dumped a whole bunch of money that was needless or gotten shafted. My 2006 Chevy cobalt had countless problems ( I do not know where to begin with ) The owner (the son) immediately fixed my fuse box for my car and said hey while you are let me lift up your car and see what else needs fixing and he fixed all of the problems that were in my car and he did it in less than 2 hours. Other shops I have been to for my car problems would quote me a ridiculous amount of money and also a turn around time of 2 days... Towed it back to Jeffrey Auto Repair and they said that it was not under warantee because it was something else! They wanted more money. They have kept the car for over 6 months and nothing has been fixed. I never received an estimate. My lawyer wrote them a 6 page demand letter and they sent a false invoice that was dated after the date I got my car back. It was a false invoice. 8 months later they still have my car hostage! I am going to have to go through Small Claims or my attorney and report him to the State of Florida Department of Consumer Services to shut them down! Stay Away from Jeffrey Auto Repair! I went to Ginacho's Automobile Services on 11/15/2021. My car was not starting, so I had it towed…read morein. I met and spoke with Ignacio (owner), and told him the issues with my car: not starting, AC not working, driver's side window switch console not working, water leak inside vehicle. I had asked Ignacio to contact me before any work being done, and he agreed to do so. He quoted me $120 for the diagnostic, and a few days later called and explained the starter needed to be changed for my car. We haggled and agreed upon $800 for parts and labor to change the starter. I told Ignacio that I was leaving out of the country and asked him to please text me once he figures out what's wrong with the AC, the window switch, and the leak. I had explained that the car starting was my top priority, and everything else depended on the cost. Ignacio never contacted me until December 10th when he called me to come pick up the car, that all the work had been finished. When I asked him what work, he said he had went ahead and changed the blower and harness and window switch without my consent, and quoted me $2,575.30 for everything. After a bit of arguing, he said I could come pick the car up for $2,000 cash. I was still in Ecuador, so my grandfather went to pick up the car for me. Ignacio then mentioned to my grandpa that the AC is still not working, and I would have to bring it in again to check. I brought my car back to Ignacio on 1/19/2022 where he told me that he would have to charge me again to fix the Freon leak. I told him that I had already paid $2,000, and that it should have included the AC being fixed since that was part of my original request, and he denied saying that he had changed the blower, but was never told to fix the AC. I'm filing this complaint since I believe this mechanic is acting illegally in doing work on a vehicle and not quoting me before doing so, which is illegal under the Florida Motor Vehicle Repair Act. Stay away from this mechanic. He only has good reviews on websites where you have to pay money to only show good reviews.
