A beautiful pair of suede black flats - total necessity. The lady who looked after me was lovely and totally made me feel better about my splurge by admitting that she had bought the same pair in leopard earlier in the day. She also gave me a loyalty card... not that I need any additional motivation to buy shoes. I must admit, most of the brands they stock i've never heard of but the shop assistant tells me that they're largely from Aussie. Anyway, my flat we just over a $100, which I thought very reasonable for leather lined shoes. Tango's also stock a range of bags and scarves.

They may not hold out for a few seasons, but at least for a few months you'll have an awesome outfit that everyone will love. Some stuff is a little weird and tacky but if you just cull those you'll be bound to find something great for that next party, family event, or just because you need a bit of a pick me up. And don't even get me started on the shoes. Delicious. They have great sales too where clothes can go from as little as $20. This is the perfect place to shop if you're a Uni student or if you're just starting out in the workforce. And since it's open late on Thursday and Friday, you can pop in after work and have a brilliant outfit for that same night.

It gets manic busy in there but the girls are always super helpful (and surprisingly honest) when you're trying things on. If I'm after a pair of killer heels Wild Pair is my first stop. They are usually right on trend and selection ranges from rather conservative to outright mad. It's also perfect for party dresses. They have a range of quirky and fun pieces. My only moan gripe would be the price; new items in particular can easily be around the $150 mark. If you haven't fallen in love with an item wait a few weeks until it's on sale. As their stock turnover is quite high you don't usually have to wait long.

C.R is a great shop but I think they have somewhat shot themselves in the foot by having too many sales. They've fallen victim to the Briscoe's curse - nobody buys when they're not on sale. That being said, C.Road is still great for high quality basics - slips, t's, flat shoes and those gym bags are total winners. Plus, they have great socks. They other day I bought two pairs of cream socks with navy hearts ($9.90). Adorable. My only other note is that something needs to be done about their changing room curtains - they're material and never close properly, leaving massive gaps, which is not the best in a unisex changing room!

But today it was my turn, and I found some wonderful black boots there (which were just like a style I had recently pinned on Pinterest) - fate. I imagine this shop is great for school shoes too (especially when they have their buy two pairs get one pair free deal). I noticed today there were a few accessories for sale too; hats, scarves, tights and jewellery.

My job doesn't require me to dress up so it's Vans and jandals every day. That's why I quite like Number One Shoes. It's cheap. Like really cheap, which is great, but it also has some really cool styles. And the stock gets updated pretty much every week which means the selection is always fresh. There is a lot of not so cool stuff to look through but there generally is always a good pair of boots, flats or heels and also a massive selection of sport shoes and slippers. These shoes aren't gonna blow your mind, but I have actually had a lot of people ask me where I got one particular pair whenever I wear them. Number One Shoes has a stigma of the cheap option, but I think people are getting over this. For an emergency pair of heels, or necessary flats, this is definitely worth a visit.
