That was last year and I have already gone through filing two years of taxes with their help, so I thought that this review is way overdue! I always felt an unresponsive distance from accountants I had worked with in the possible, but Small Business Tax is truly different. They are seriously like family. I have engaged with a half-dozen individuals there, from the CEO to the receptionist, and they are all professional, friendly, and simply get the job done at a reasonable rate looking for ways to save you $$$ on taxes. I really can't recommend them enough. I know it might sound weird to find tax help on Yelp, but I am really glad I did and if you are in need of help, please give Nicole and team a call!

Ed is the best there is. Plain and simple. He's the kind of tax guru you go to when you've had it…read morewith the people who promise you HUGE returns and then simply turn around and get you audited the next 2 years... What sets Ed apart is his AMAZING work ethic (he will get back to you on a Saturday night with questions, even out-of-season), he'll prepare everything for you in a flash and usually can squeeze in a face-to-face when you need it, he'll be there for you via phone to answer any and all questions regarding letters, deductions, etc... and of course, he's a full-fledged CPA, not some kid or old lady that decided to quit her dayjob to become a real estate agent / "tax preparer" - he's the real deal. He handles a ton of my friends' business accounts and taxes and has been truly amazing to me from the get-go, and this is why I return to Ed, year after year, since I was introduced to him by my friend Patrick. You can pay a tiny bit less and get your taxes done by a walk-in place and miss a ton of cash or you can go to a shady tax preparer who doesn't really know what red flags to look for or in my case, tried to write off lottery tickets one year (I wish I was kidding)... ORRRRR you can come to Ed at Simons Accountancy Corp... get it done right. Have that peace of mind. Keep your money in your pockets and in your bank account. For me, it's a peace of mind and professionalism thing, plus of course the access he provides his clients. He's never missed once and for this I am truly grateful - can't recommend enough!

I am not confident in my math skills and am convinced I will do something wrong on my tax return. Finally, I have found a tax accountant who makes the process easy, painless and fear-free. Ed Simons walked me through my profit and loss sheet with kindness, confidence and sound knowledge of his craft. He made me feel in control, and for once I didn't feel like a total idiot about how I kept my records or my lack of understanding of the process. Simons Accountancy prepared my return in record time, and even sent them off online for me--no waiting in the post office lines for me! Even though I had a tax payment due, I was very pleased with the entire process. And the fees are incredibly reasonable. But the icing on the cake was the extra step that Ed and his company took for me. Many tax people had mentioned that I should be sending an amount of money to the IRS against next year's taxes, but never took the time to explain why or how. Not only did Ed explain why I should do it, but also when I received my tax return, there were also four envelopes addressed and filled out for me. This way I can easily send next year's payments to the IRS and maybe even get some money back next year. Never before have I received this kind of service from a tax accountant! If you want a tax accountant that goes beyond competence and crunching numbers, that provides exemplary service and results, then Ed Simons is the man to call. I can't recommend him enough. I know I won't use anyone else in future!

I prefer to hire people who are paying attention to their own accounts as he did. Joe is charming and reassuring. Joe moved away from California, but does return regularly as he's a Ducks fan and has season tickets. He may have been worth the price he quoted. I don't know. The two other quotes I got were more than 50% less than what he quoted. It does not make sense for me to pay 2x as much for somebody living in another state to do my taxes. I am writing this review because after and despite my explaining to him and his colleague why I would not be utilizing their services, I began receiving daily prompts to sign a contract.
