They have the most amazing Coffee in the city. Besides that they have really terrific sandwiches. My favorite is the Kilkenny. It's sausage, bacon, and white pudding. The are less than 5 euros each. See the menu photo . They are great for picnics up at Kilkenny Castle. I always buy the apple and pear scones too. The scones are baked there in the shop along with the greatest brown bread I've had in Ireland. It is topped with sesame seeds. Take home a loaf to America as I do!!

You can also buy full meals from the deli to take home with you for those who love good food but maybe aren't the best of cooks or just don't have the time. It's kind of tucked away behind Dunnes Stores beside the carpark so people new to Kilkenny mightn't necessarily stumble upon it...It is worth checking out though, maybe even to get some food together for a nice picnic in the castle park.

I found the staff making the sandwiches very rude and not observant as they skipped me in the queue. I asked for a toasted Blt which was thrown together and soggy, it literally was falling apart and the salad was just dumped on the side of the plate with parts of the coleslaw touching the table when it was put in front of me. I will not be returning to this establishment nor will I be recommending it to anyone. I usually eat once a week in the shopping centre in MacDonagh however I will be sticking to the other food outlets.
