Great meal... only comments are:…read more (1) no cheese is listed on quesadilla del mi camino but covers the quesadilla and beans. (2) chicken maxi is too pricey for just chicken and rice (and cheese, but we are casein free). $9.09 is too high I think is all although it is a decent portion. Chips were not warm but still good tasting.

This is, quite frankly, the worst Mexican food we've ever had…read more Seriously, it's bad. It's overcooked and flavorless. The chips & salsa were fine. The entrees were not good at all. Mine was so unappetizing that I couldn't eat it. Got a box to go and then forgot it on the table when I left. I ordered the Enchiladas Suiza. It comes with green sauce. Not mine. It was served with melted cheese and a couple of pieces of canned green chilies were sprinkled under the cheese. I've had this elsewhere and know what to expect. Also, their menu here shows the green sauce that is typical for the dish and it mentions the green sauce in the description. The chicken pieces were dry, unseasoned and very chewy. The tortillas were gooey. My husband's Coconut Shrimp was so overcooked that it was hard to bite into and hard to chew. The rice with it was terrible. The mango salsa served with the shrimp was the only decent item on the plate. He left most of his food also. We won't return. We gave this place three tries. It's just not good food. The service was friendly and quick. It's the only thing positive about this restaurant.

I had to go back.. OMG!! I gotta do another review for this place. The Fajitas Texanas was…read morefabulous. Today I had deep fried chicken chimichanga and tacos Al pastor!! I also asked for a hot salsa I heard about.. I'm saving the best for last on this on. The chimichanga was stuff with juicy shredded chicken. It was cooked to perfection. It was delicious plain, but when I dropped a little spicy salsa, and dabbed it in some sour cream and guacamole.... Lawd.... I'm not done. Even the chips and salsa are tasty!! The tacos Al pastor.. oh me oh my!! take special notice in the pic of the tacos.... Grilled pineapple. YES!!! Grilled pineapple. And just the right amount. They tacos were not sweet, but you get an occasional burst of juicy pineapple. It just goes perfect with the fresh onion and cilantro. I ate one with no salsa.. and one with their spicy salsa. It don't matter!!! Both were great. And that unexpected burst of pineapple just does something!! I live in TX, and this place is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to. I can't wait to try more on the menu! I will definitely post reviews for each time I eat there. The service was excellent, just as it was on my previous visit. The ambience. Well.. no one with food in front of them was talking. Too busy eating!!

The menu was loaded with choices, even meatless for Good Friday fasting. Our server was with us very quickly and took good care of us throughout our meals. I ordered the Seafood Chimmi and my wife ordered the Shrimp Quesadilla. My meal came with beans and salad, my wife's meal came with salad only. We both took home the leftovers. My beer, Pacifico draft, arrived in a frozen mug and the beer was exceptionally cold. I loved it. My wife had a lime Margarita on the rocks and she said it was very good. The chips were warm when they arrived and their salsa was excellent. I asked for an order of Jalapeños, the pickled kind from the can, and they showed up to the table pronto! We were really glad that we chose this restaurant for dinner with many other choices in this small town, and the prices were reasonable as well. Next time we find ourselves in this town we will likely choose this place if in the mood for Mexican food. Nice job to all the staff for a good experience here.

We moved to Ohio from Southern California about 2 years ago and we had given up on finding Mexican…read morefood in this state forever. IYKYK Until Sonoras was recommended to us yesterday by a friend. We have finally found our place! Courtesy chips and salsa - chips were fresh and crunchy and rifled when empty. Salsa was mild which I liked but others may find too mild. My husband didn't complain that it was weak so it must have been ok for him too. He likes runny salsa, I like chunky (more like pico) but we both enjoyed it. He ordered a house margarita on the rocks and said it was strong (in a good way). Presentation was adorable with a tiny duck, heart shaped straw, and flag. All of their drinks look fun. Very big menu WITH PRICES. We'll definitely be back to try more of them! So many things on the menu looked amazing. Menu has pictures and our food actually looked like them! I had the pastor gringas tacos. I forgot to tell the server corn tortillas and I'm glad I didn't. The flour tortillas were fresh and toasted to perfection. Good amount of melted cheese. Large portion of meat. I could only eat 1 of my 3 tacos but even the leftovers were good. Beans were the right consistency to make a good chip dip. My husband had the enchiladas supreme that came with one each of chicken, beef, bean, and cheese. He finished about 1/2 and polished off the rest today for lunch. I was so full that I forgot about the doke whips on the sign outside but that's ok because we'll definitely be back to try their Norris and street corn items. Plus the fun drinks. The owner came by to greet us and we talked for quite a bit about the lack of quality Mexican food in the area. We were happy to find out they have 4 locations including Waverly which is about 30 minutes closer to us. But in honesty, we'd drive the hour for quality Mexican food. Oh and Bluey was there. Not sure why, but it made me smile. Overall 9/10 - they gave strange fans on the tables and I had to turn it off because it was triggering my ADHD. Parking was tight.

Best Mexican food we've found in OH so far. Coming from a Southern California native.read more
