Most shop rite and Walgreens have limits of $2-500. Con 1: their debit card has a daily withdrawal limit $1000. And electronic transfer from their card is not possible. You can withdraw cash using atm machine but for some reason it frequently does work. Con 2: the store run out of funds frequently and you will have to visit some other time/ day. I do not have experience with their loan system. The service here is acceptable though the line gets long and service becomes really slow.

The location is tiny, not much more than a vestibule and a worker behind some bulletproof glass. The woman who helped me never ended her cell phone conversation but really it hardly mattered since all she needed to do was accept my cash and slip the Transpass through the window. This store is located right at the corner of Germantown and Chelten, and a number of popular bus routes stop at this corner, so to have a location that sells Transpasses there is very convenient.
