What I got was a whole lot more. They diagnosed the source of the problem. It was not just incorrectly installed flashing as the roofing inspector from another company had said. The entire roof had failed due to poor ventilation in the soffits and inadequate insulation in the attic. This would now be the 3rd roof that I had installed in 33 years. The two previous roofers had not alerted me to the problem with the insulation and the last roofer also did not properly install flashing along the deck roof so water slowly leaked into the house causing internal damage. Smart Site went above and beyond to do an excellent job on the interior of the house. Andrew also coordinated well with the other trades that were required to complete the job. I strongly recommend Smart Site Construction. This was a small job. They do the big ones as well. You can't go wrong with Smart Site!

Damage was caused to my 4-month-old insulated garage door during the job (caught on camera). Mike initially acknowledged the damage and advised withholding payment until a resolution was reached. I obtained a quote for the repair as requested, but communication quickly deteriorated. Mike insisted the dents could be "popped out" despite the installer confirming the panels needed replacing. He also visited my property without notice, which was captured on video. When we arranged times for him to bring "his guy" who was sure he "could pop out the dents", he cancelled last minute and failed to follow up, after accusing me of being uncooperative. Although I paid in full to avoid penalizing the workers, I will never hire this company again. The lack of accountability and professionalism makes it impossible to recommend. Luckily, I have a text record of all communication, even though Mike insisted on talking on the phone, I didn't. Update: Over a month and half later and I am still waiting for the receipt I asked for. I've tried calling and no answer. I paid my bill in full, Mike won't take care of the damage they caused to my property.
