He is friendly, professional, and truly cares about making your wedding day truly special. One of the most important things to us in wedding planning was the music and making sure there was great high energy music that kept the dance floor packed. We spent a ton of time putting together a playlist that we felt captured the vibe we were going for. We gave our playlist to Don and he took it and ran. Not only did he play the songs we gave him, but he saw the vibe we were going for and played banger after banger. Our dance floor never slowed down and we had an absolute blast! We used them for our wedding day, and we genuinely could not imagine our day without them. They will help you create a timeline that works best for your event, curate your vibe, keep people on the dance floor all night long, and allow you to enjoy about your event without worrying about a thing. Throughout the planning process, Don and Ted met with us several times to organize and iron out any and all details, but also we would just have a good time chatting with each other. At the wedding, our guests asked us if our DJs were personal friends of ours, because we got along so well and had such a good relationship formed throughout our planning process. We had several requests throughout planning to help personalize our music, vibes, etc. and Ted seamlessly integrated them throughout our event. Day of, we made some last-minute changes with our timeline, and Ted provided us with solutions and transitions that made our day go so smoothly. He also MC'ed all night long with perfection. Fantastic service & very professional. We met with Don, the owner and Krazy Chris, who was our DJ a few months out. They were very friendly and thorough in asking what music we like & don't like, asking about our style, and being sure to get the bridal party's name pronunciations right. They had planned out the whole night well in advance. Krazy Chris & his assistant showed up to the venue plenty early to set up and had music prepared to play as guests started walking in. He introduced the bridal party and all people giving speeches with great enthusiasm and a great "stage presence". I really appreciate how he was happy to accommodate requests while filling in the gaps with other music that fit right in. On top of that he (rightfully so) pushed back when guests requested songs that we had said were on our "do not play" list. Overall a fantastic experience all the way through meeting with Don and Chris to prepare and with Chris absolutely killing it during the reception. Truly the worst choice we made while wedding planning was using MGS DJ's for our music vendor, and I say that not to be overdramatic but with the utmost sincerity. It was the worst decision we made while wedding planning. We met with Don Masters several times to plan and less than a week before our wedding we found out we would be working with another DJ that he swore by as his number one backup named "Crazy Chris". I have so much feedback on the music choices we wanted, I made spreadsheets of our song choices for walking down the aisle, first dances, cocktail hour, etc and these went either ignored or weren't taken or noted down. The DJ came up to me while we were lining up to walk down the aisle to ask me to confirm what song we were walking down the aisle to. Are you kidding me? He didn't have the mics turned up enough during the ceremony or reception speeches either. When he called my husband and I to the dance floor for our first dance, he started playing the song as we were standing up behind the table. By the time we got around our long table and to the dance floor, we started our first dance mid-chorus. Your first dance is supposed to be a beautiful memory from your wedding and we missed half of it because he doesn't understand that you should wait until the couple is on the dance floor to hit play on a song they were planning for a year. Additionally, I had created playlists for the cocktail hour and for dinner of specific songs I wanted played that were meaningful to us. I have the list in an Excel version, PDF format, AND sent Spotify playlists of each. He played some of them but about half of the songs that played were off of the list. He decided that instead of playing the requested music, he would play "Love and Marriage" by Sinatra which is the theme song for Married with Children...a TV show notoriously known for being about an uncomfortable and unhappy marriage. We also had a list of songs on the "do not play" list, which he played as well. The worst part was that a song I requested not to be played was a song that a friend and her husband danced to as the first dance at their wedding and this friend died in a very unexpected loss months before our wedding and I didn't want her husband who was attending to have to hear that song. So many memories were affected by our poor choice in the DJ we hired. It's true what they say, the food and music are the two biggest things that set the tone at your wedding and ours was unfortunately worse for our DJ choice. Spend the extra $500 and get a better DJ than this company. read more

Don was the DJ at our wedding on Feb 23rd of this year. I will tell you this he is by far the best DJ I have ever worked with or attended an event for. He took my ideas and made them into the best dance floor ever. He was such a pleasure to work with from start to finish. I have had SOOOO many people compliment us on our music selection. It seems almost silly to write ANOTHER five star review but this DJ is WORTH IT! We feel so thankful that he works with our venue often and we didn't have to shop around. The best DJ in Indianapolis came to meet us there and worked with us for our wedding in May 2019. He made the process so easy for us, even finding a certain version of Canon in D that I could only find streamed on Amazon Prime! His online website is full of song ideas to help you create your perfect ceremony/reception. And our reception was a true dance party, for ALL ages. Mike from MGS djed our wedding a few weeks ago. Working with MGS was a breeze; they were responsive and accommodating from the get-go which really took some pressure off of us during the stressful time of planning our wedding. Mike played every song we asked for during the ceremony and the reception dinner, and then played a great mix of dance songs during the later parts of the reception, respecting our requests and tastes, and filling in the spaces with great song choices. Mike was entirely professional and attentive on our wedding day, and he moved the reception along smoothly.
