At Stars & Stripes they truly care about the girls- and work on positive reinforcement and building confidence. We just competing at our first event and I love how the coaches keep it very casual and fun. They don't put excessive pressure on the kids but celebrate their achievements. It's been a super great experience. The parents and other girls have also been wonderful. We've made some great friends already. We're very happy at Stars & Stripes, love the family atmosphere, the owner knows what she's doing and the other coaches are great role models for the girls.

But what I didn't expect my constant headaches to go away too (I guess those things had something to do with each other?) I've worked out most of my adult life but mostly by myself and then maybe a class here and then. Did the YMCA, even did some personal training. The trainers at Gymnastics Body are in a league of their own. They really understand the body, how it moves and can actually train you properly. I look back at my past training and with the exception of one person, I see now that none of them really had the in depth knowledge that these guys do. Came to Highland rec center for the aquatic area for my daughter's birthday. We signed up for the…read moreafternoon swim that was two hours long. Now there is a lot of amenities here at the aquatic center but the two big slides in the corner are little rocky. We decided to go down the waterslides when we first got there and noticed that both have flaws. There are wasp nests underneath the slides so you do see tons of wasp flying around. The swirl slide we took moves really slow so you have to push yourself at some point to keep moving forward down the slide. People were coming down quickly after you would get off the slides they got kind of close to landing in the water by us. The straight down slide you catch air midway, especially for a little kids you kinda stopped, touching the slide at one point. Now for the smaller kid area it was perfect for my five year old. They had little slides over there and even a medium kid slide as soon as you walk up nice splash pad a lot more slow pace and relaxing. they do have lifejackets there if needed for children. They also have a café where they serve Domino's Pizza and other snacks and drink options which we did get some Gatorade's and a whole Domino's Pizza, and for the price it wasn't bad.

We visited Bayside Sports Academy to attend a birthday party for my friend's child. This is a HUGE…read moregym located inside of a warehouse. There is so much room to run around in and lots of apparatuses to try, whether you're there for free play or for formal gymnastics training. There is also a Ninja Warrior themed area, with obstacles from the show for you to try. Because we were there for a birthday party, you get two chaperones who stay with your group and show the kids how to use the equipment. They didn't set up any particular obstacle or activity for the group to do together, so parents just had to supervise their kids (or run around with them as well) around the gym. My husband and I got yelled at a few times because we managed to get into the areas we were NOT supposed to go (the Ninja Warrior equipment and the inflatable slide, which has designated times for use). We had our own area for eating and storing presents for the birthday girl. After we ate, the chaperones finished our birthday session at the inflatable slide. Not the smartest order after our kids stuffed themselves with pizza and cake, but the kids had fun nonetheless. This was a fun, HUGE, and clean facility to use for a birthday party. Seems like a reputable place to enroll your kids or yourself in for gymnastics and other tumbling sports.
