After the repairs were done, I used Gorilla Clean (Gorilla Paver Sealing Solutions) to wash, sand, and reseal the pavers at the recommendation of the company who initially installed my driveway and sidewalks and who also did the repairs. I'm really happy with the result. John March was professional and courteous and was there with another employee. They did an excellent job all around. The sealer had more gloss than my previous sealer and I liked it better. It has seemed so far to hold up better than other sealers that have been used since I first had the bricks installed back in 2017. Also, their price was better than the others (I did shop around). I highly recommend Gorilla Clean and plan to use them again in the future.

They cleaned up after they were done and I couldn't be more pleased. I even called to see if it was normal to have a few dull areas (which with older pavers it might be) and they actually returned and put on a second coat at no extra charge. They didn't have to do that. I will recommend in the future. Note - I see someone wrote about cash upfront and while I don't know their experience, this company did not ask to get paid until the job was complete.

We had a wooden retaining wall behind our house that needed to be replaced. Finding a proper…read morecompany to replace this wall was a challenge and it took us a while before we found American Pavers. We read through their reviews and looked them up on Better Business Bureau and decided to call them. We contacted them online and Hiago called us back in a timely manner. His listened to our needs and set up an appointment to come out to look at the work to be performed. He took photos and measurements, explained the work that the company could provide. A few days later we had a quote for the work along with photos of samples of the colored concrete blocks that we could choose from. We agreed to the quote. This was not inexpensive. I say that the cost was comparable to a pretty good used car. Hiago ordered the concrete blocks required, we had to go to the county courthouse to pick up the work permit. 1/2 the payment was payable in advance when we signed the work contract and the rest of the payment was due at the conclusion of construction. We payed with Cashiers Checks. The work took place over two days, where they tore out the original wood retaining wall and began setting the concrete blocks. The Foreman was on site throughout the construction and we were able to go out every so often to see their progress. The workers were professional and definitely appeared to know what they were doing. They finished the wall and hauled away the old wooden structure. The workers was performed in April 2025 and I wanted to wait to write this review to make sure that this wall was solid. I'm writing this in February 2026 and the wall looks great and we have not had any issues. The concrete blocks that we chose blend in nicely with the landscape and every time we drive by the back of our home, we are proud of our purchase. Spending this kind of money, we really want to be proud of it for a long long time and I think we will be. One of the best parts of this experience with American Pavers was the thorough and timely communication by Hiago. He was attentive and always friendly and warm. I would hope that all interactions with contractors would be so pleasant and enjoyable. Thank you Hiago and thank you American Pavers. This is definitely a company that we recommend you to consider when you have a project that needs to be done.

I hired this company to remove broken concrete driveway and replacing it with pavers. From…read moreselection to finish took 5 months, which included waiting for approval by the HOA ACC committee, and a break in the weather. Positive remarks: Neighbors have remarked that we have the prettiest driveway in the whole subdivision. Even the former HOA president asked us for contact information. The contractor included special requests from me to install tree root barriers and replace old irrigation piping under the driveway. Negative remarks: while contractor was usually responsive quickly to telephone calls, there were periods when my messages went unanswered for days. Cleanup was less than perfect. Process: Contractor prepared an excellent contract with lots of photographic examples which made securing HOA approval easy. The demolition process took a full day to destroy and remove the old driveway using a riding excavator. I think that it could have been done in half the time with the addition of an air hammer, instead of using the shovel of the excavator as an impactor, but I'm certainly no expert. The company followed my request to replace the PVC pipes that go under the driveway with schedule 40 instead of the original schedule 10. I purchased the material in advance, and they did the replacement. This was done without charge. The company also followed my request to install "Bamboo Root Barrier" to prevent the nearby oak tree from disrupting the new driveway. They also removed the large roots that had cracked the previous driveway. There was an extra $300 charge for this, due to needing to dig a 3-foot slit trench along the side of the driveway facing the large oak tree. Then they laid down the gravel base. In the contract, we opted for an "open grade base" upgrade for additional $750. I'm not sure why this is an option; it seems to me that it should be standard. The team that came to lay the pavers were two men that were different from the excavators, and clearly were skilled in their art. They carefully placed the pavers in an attractive pattern, paid great attention to getting the surface level, and then installed concrete rim along the sides to hold the pavers in place. Finally, the jointing sand was applied. We chose an upgrade from regular sand to polymeric sand which hardens with water and lasts 3-4 years. We have enjoyed the driveway now for over 3 months, and there has been no visible settling or cracking. Neighbors' remarks have been universally positive. I also asked the company to do a second job to make a path from the driveway around the side of the house to where the lawn waste containers are stored. They did this as well, and this job matched the original job in appearance.

When my wife and I started looking for a paver company to replace our old concrete driveway, we…read morestarted by looking on the BBB website for highly rated companies. That narrowed down the field pretty quickly. We asked three companies to quote, and as the prices were all pretty similar, it quickly became evident that service would be the deciding factor. One of the three immediately eliminated themselves by not responding to a query regarding design. We next went to look at some recent jobs in our area (Wesley Chapel / Lutz) done by the two bidders, and were told one of the companies had repeatedly promised to start the project, but failed to appear. Then we visited Bay Brick Pavers showroom to select the material for our job. The owner and his wife were very cordial and professional, so we left a deposit and scheduled our installation. They touched bases with us a couple of times, and reconfirmed when they would start. The bobcat operator was prompt and capable. He removed the old driveway and prepped the area so the installers were ready to go the next morning. The installers were just as good, leaving the finished driveway neat and clean. The entire job was completed in less than two days. The price was exactly as quoted, with no hassles or problems. My wife and I can't speak too highly of Ted and crew.

The cost of the project, when you break it down, shows that a good portion of that cost goes to somewhere other than the work being done or the cost of materials. When you pay over 10k for a project then you expect a professional job and not the bare minimum then the rest disappear. These are my opinions and experience. Your results may be different. I feel the job was rushed, corners cut and again. When you pay a lot of money then you would expect at least 3/4 or more of that finance to go towards labor and product. Heck, If I can earn $4,000 or more just by making a few phone calls... BEWARE OF JAC BUILDERS ROOFING After Hurricane Milton, I…read morehired JAC Builders Roofing to replace my roof. They quoted me $28,700, and completed the job in February 2025. From the ground, everything looked fine... until I had to climb up in July to clean out the gutters near my pool cage. That's when I discovered something shocking: They only did part of my roof. The section over the pool lanai -- which is fully attached to the house -- was completely untouched. Even worse, my old roof is tan and the new roof is black, making it painfully obvious once you're up there. How do you "replace a roof" and leave part of it off -- without telling the homeowner? ________________________________________ More Issues I Found: * While installing the new drip edge, they cut slits down the backside of the gutters, almost to the bottom of my gutters in 4 different places. * In one section, they nailed the gutter through the drip edge 3 times -- leaving two exposed holes. * Their "solution"? Someone came out and smeared caulk in the slits. That's it. The Response (Or Lack of One): I contacted Chris, the person who gave me the estimate. He tried blaming the insurance company. But let's be clear: JAC gave me the estimate (Nowhere mentioning flat section was excluded). My insurance paid the estimate -- in full. In fact, they paid $37,240, including $8,540 for two tarps that I never got to keep and my deductible. When I sent a detailed letter directly to the owner, Joshua Colon, I received no response at all. My Take: As a homeowner with no background in roofing, when I'm quoted for a full roof replacement, I expect the whole roof -- not just the parts they feel like doing. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. To say I feel misled is more accurate. Final Word: In my opinion, JAC Builders Roofing is dishonest, unprofessional, and lacks accountability. I urge fellow homeowners to think twice -- or better yet, run -- before trusting this company with your home. Don't let what happened to me happen to you.
