Meynell Langley has a really nice old style look to it - far removed from the large commercial garden centres which now sell everything under the sun; from hot tubs to conservatories. It has a very good choice of plants many of which are grown in the nursery. Selling mostly cottage garden style plants, they have a very good choice of flowers, bulbs, bedding plants and ready made hanging baskets. There are a few very large glass houses offering a huge range of flowers. They also offer a decent range of climbers and fruit trees.
The plants are competitively priced and can often be cheaper than the larger more commercial garden centres. However, their choice of plants are far more restricted, so don't expect to go there and find more exotic varieties.
There is also a farm shop at the back of the nursery selling various meats and eggs grown on the property. During the summer the also have an open garden which is absolutely stunning to walk through. You do have to pay extra to enter this garden and walk around.
The parking facilities are more than adequate for the number of visitors that the nursery attracts. Even if you don't go to buy anything, then it is quite nice just to park up and wander around. read more
