Romar Tower 5C - The four barstools are filthy and stained. Again, something you will not want to sit on without putting a towel down.

**Be sure to see all 13 photos submitted of Romar Tower 5C** Romar Tower 5C - In hindsight I have noticed something that I hope others will notice. Look at the reviews on the Meyer Real Estate website. It appears they have doctored the reviews in order to give them a near five star rating on all of their condos. If you look closely you will find that you cannot click on any of the reviews to read them and you also cannot leave a review. Interesting, huh? This speaks volumes and I am sad I learned this information too late. I will never rent from Meyer Real Estate again! On to my review of Romar Tower 5C, which would definitely NOT have a good rating if the ratings were legit on their website. I rented the condo March 11-15, 2021. Housekeeping did their job, but it is filthy and run down in ways that were outside of general housekeeping. There is a lot of maintenance that needs to occur and furniture that needs to be replaced. The barstools, the kitchen chairs, the placemats, the couches - all filthy and stained. We hated to even sit without covering things first. The placements need to be trashed filthy, stained, and just disgusting! There is mold in the washing machine. There is mold in the smaller bathroom. The small bathroom is dark - specifically shower. There is no exhaust fan/vent in bathrooms. Everything needs a good scrubbing with a fresh coat of paint and caulk. Even the fake plants are in bad shape and one is duct taped together. The freezer leaks into the fridge and leaves water in it which gets your refrigerated items wet. The pans in the kitchen look rough in a worn out sort of way. The patio furniture is old and there are no lounge chairs at all. The pillows on the bed are all stained up and totally gross. (Be sure to see the photo of that!) The only positives are the master bed slept great and the carpet looked clean, but even then the carpet in the closets were not replaced. There is also a new recliner that is leather. It's the only thing you will be able to sit on without covering it first. Honestly, someone should be ashamed renting something in this condition. I thought Meyer was a reputable company that managed nice condos, but I was clearly mistaken. I am really troubled by my new knowledge of what I believe to be doctored reviews on their website. They will never get another penny of my money. (And no, we did not file a ticket for this dilapidated place while we were there - we were forced to make the best of it. Stayed out of the condo as much as possible and did not use the kitchen. Had we filed a ticket there was nothing they could do as there was no way they could have replaced furniture and remodeled during our four night stay.) COVID-19 ALERT!!! Dear Tanny (property Manager for Meyer Vacations 251-968-7516), We reported issues to LUCAS, SHEILA, KAYE, BONNIE during our stay. DIRTY! You refused to refund cleaning costs due to lack of housekeeping essential duties. We walked into our rental at SEA CHASE unit 705C and...dried urine on bathroom floor, bottle caps found throughout unit, no traces of vacuuming on any of the carpets, dried blood stain on our bed sheets, cockroaches in bedrooms, spilled dried milk on kitchen counter, NO DEEP cleaning...despite COVID. DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY! Run from them, they DO NOT follow COVID cleaning guidelines.

Lighthouse 1210 Gulf Shores. Avoid. 1. Sand on our feet.... we haven't been on the beach yet. 2. Coffee mug unwashed. 3. Trundle bed. Filthy covered in food, hair and who knows what on it, no sheets, blankets or pillow cases supplied. Our daughter had to sleep with us in our bed because it was unusable. 4. Blood stained pillow, sweat soaked pillow. No pillow cases for them anyway. 5. Pull out had no blankets to fit and the ones that were here stained- photo. A lego piece inside so it was never opened by the cleaners to check it. 6. In the master walls greasy with dust stuck to them. 7. Dishwasher with food and stains on the edge. 8. Outside chairs torn and weather beaten. $900 for 2 nights 1st night ruined. 10. Hair on the bath. 11. Shower edge filthy.

When times get tough, you learn a lot about people and companies. I've learned that this is the one company who is refusing to refund people money during the COVID-19 outbreak. Their competitors are offering full refunds. Meyer is offering a "certificate" for future booking and some condescending double speak. Price difference among these companies is nominal - be smart, and avoid the company that did wrong by people during a crisis.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Paid a small fortune to stay at a fairly nice condo at Bel Sole for a week and had nothing but issues from day 1. Condo was dirty - sand all over the floors, sheets on the beds were intolerably filthy. Thats a red sheet in the washing machine and that water is black. Toilet overflowed the first night, A/C never worked and Meyers answer was to give us two fans for a 2250 sq ft condo. We asked for more and they said to call the front office and they would bring more. We did so and were told that there were no more fans available. They sent an ac repair man who replaced the thermostat which didn't work...so here we are enjoying an 80 degree condo on our vacation. Will never ever in my life rent anything from Meyer. The Bel Sole complex itself is very nice and I would definitely recommend it...we've stayed here before and had a great time. Just make sure you don't rent through Meyer. UPDATE: After hours of additional work on the A/C, the temperature will now not go below 81 degrees. It is literally hotter inside than it is outside. Also the freezer isn't working, so neither does the ice machine...and the separate ice machine doesn't work worth a flip either. I understand things happen but Meyer's response to issues is a textbook example of what customer service should not be.

Previous renters food on the balcony

Soooooo we have rented condos through Gulf Shores - Meyer Vacation Rentals for my whole life. Never, ever, have we had an experience like this, but it'll definitely be our last business to do with Meyer. We booked this condo several months ago after browsing the images online. It was NOT cheap. At all. It looked like a nice place. Well. We walked in the door only to realize we had been catfished it looked nothing as nice as the photos. Y'all, when I tell you this condo was the most disgusting place... I can't. It smelled like musty and mildewed carpet. The carpets were black with filth. Dust was thick on all of the furniture- you can see on the picture of the black lamp shade. The coffee tables and side tables still had crumbs and drink rings on them. There was still food trash on the balcony. Yet- they're supposedly doing extra cleaning for corona. Oh okay. Let's discuss the laundry closet doors. They were broken and completely unattached - if you barely touched them they fell over completely. Imagine that with babies/toddlers!! The bulbs in the lamps were burnt out and the lamp shades were broken. We arrived on Sunday and Mom called Monday and spoke to someone at Meyer. The assured us they'd be there by the next day with light bulbs and fix the laundry doors. Shocker... they never showed up! Mom emailed them on Wednesday to express her concerns and nobody replied. The whole place was just raggedy and filthy. We have never been more disappointed. So I say all of this to say- DO NOT RENT THROUGH MEYER. They really don't care if you don't have light in your bedrooms or if your closet doors fall on a baby‍ **This condo was at Bluewater**

We rented 404 Escapes to the Shores from Meyer Rentals Gulf Shores, Feb 29-March 7. Getting in bed on the fifth night, my wife cut her elbow on what we later figured out must have been pieces of a broken lightbulb in the bed mattress pad, that poked through the sheet. We reported it to the Meyer Rental Office and we were assured someone would call us to discuss it. We received no such call. We were sorely disappointed with their response and the fact that it happened in their property and it did not seem to perturb them in the least. We got to Orange Beach two or three times a year, but we have never had anything quite like this.

Had roaches everywhere. Bedroom walls, bathroom

NEVER will I book through Meyer. Stayed at Bluewater, 4.4 rating. Infested with roaches. Not the big ones, the little ones. Infested. I called Meyer they said it was sprayed two days ago. Told them we couldn't stay there, their response was they could put us somewhere else but all had bad reviews. Besides roaches there was a pile of Chex mix on the floor so it wasn't vacuumed. Ceiling fans with three light bulbs that were all out. A bed looked made till I threw the bed spread back and no sheets on the bed. No remote in main bedroom ceiling fan had one speed. Maintenance came 2x without being requested for reason that didn't fix any of our problem. Meyer only gave us a 20% discount and tried to do that just foe one night. Nightmare

Unbelievably nasty disgusting filthy place. The floors were gross and black like they haven't…read moremopped in years, didn't even smell clean we had to buy air fresheners (we left them for you please use in the future). The pillows hav eyellow disgusting stains on them, there was a Big stain on the sheets in the middle of the bed (looks like from you know what) I dont think you even washed the sheets. The cover around the side of bed is black and has stains is nasty gross. Completely unsanitary! The floor on the deck is filled with sticky blackened stains, you have obviously not cleaned it in years. That area should be a staple of the visit to sit on the deck with ocean views should be a memorable experience and I feel like I may need a tetanus shot from being there. Then you ruined my entire last day of vacation as we travel with a small dog and you had the audacity to send a text saying that you were going to send over a pest control man and you had no idea what time and we feared he may let himself in at anytime and possible let our pet out and in addition we don't want people in our rental unit while we are not there so we felt like we couldn't leave the pet alone all day! thanks for ruining my wife's 50th birthday surprise. Some ladies with a code just walked in on us... and acted like they wanted to talk to us! To sum it up its a filthy shithole and not what one would expect when renting a vacation rental. The attitude to let people in whenever you see fit is appalling! I was contacted by Juleee who offered $142 discount in her words" to make this right" Insulting The pictures do not reflect the real nasty condition of the property I have tons of photos showing the real condition. And its un liveable even for a week!
