UNIT 314: 1. The mattresses in both bedrooms were terrible - lumpy with deep pits. Getting off the couch was difficult even for fit individuals (sagged towards the back) 2. No dusting had been done above about 4 feet, for example, tops of lamp shade were coated in dust. 3. Utensils were a mishmash of items and there were only 3 teaspoons. The handle on the large skillet is falling off. 4. The walk-in shower was old and dated - a large person would not fit and there was mold in places around the bottom. The jetted tub was so outdated I would not even get in it. 6. Not that we used it but the fan in the master closet was also coated in dust. 5. The $50.00 fee per parking pass was exorbitant, especially for 4 days and off season. Was not expecting an additional $100 expense. read more

714 nicely set up, up to date furnishings. Only recommendation is out an indoor mat by the backdoor. Gym wasn't as nice as pictured, elevators are very slow ( granted it is a very big condo with lots of people), sauna was under repair. Front desk workers were very friendly. read more

HORRIBLE. Literally NEVER come here. infested with cockroaches! Our room was completely infested so someone came and sprayed our room which just made them come out more. In every single room of the condo and they didn't move us to a different room. when we asked for a refund/discount they didn't give us anything. Lighthouse Condominiums in Gulf Shores. Unit 1202 (Stayed : 10/29/21 - 11/2/21) First night realized floors had not been cleaned , our feet were black from walking on floors. I called in the morning and they said they would send someone to mop. I really don't know if they did or not because we left to go to lunch and do some shopping at the outlets. I didn't see any difference once we returned. About that time we noticed a smell, seemed like it could be from the kitchen cabinet under the sink. We figured it was just a damp smell, by our last day there is was horrible! Now the final straw.... We woke up on our 3rd full day there (also our last full day) to a jackhammer outside of our front door on the balcony. Later there was another jackhammer above the living room too. It went on all day! It was so loud we couldn't hear each other talking unless we screamed. Couldn't hear the tv either. We left for dinner about 4:00 and the jackhammers were still going strong. We did arrive back at 6:30 to peace and quiet. Too little too late. I called Liquid Life Rentals who we rented through. Not much help, just some excuses. Saying this was repairs from Hurricane Sally which had happened about a year ago, it was tiles being torn up for renovations not hurricane damage! This condo unit should not have been rented out during this time, complete greed on the part of the owners. I will never book through Liquid Life again or at Lighthouse Condos. read more

Loud especially at night! They don't keep up with the property...pools were dirty the majority of our 7 night stay. I hardly saw anyone taking care of the place except all of the work being done on the roof and parking. Don't stay here if you want peace and quiet...especially after 9:00pm. Won't stay here again. read more

My review us based only on the complex. I didn't want to review our condo as that is different. We've been coming to the beach for years and this is seriously the cleanest place we've stayed. I can't stress this enough. The pool area is super clean, the walkway to the beach, the elevators, the parking lot, even the walk ways. I'm a clean freak and I am super pleased with how clean it is. No trash laying around at all. The grilling area is also super clean and the grills are in great condition. The pool hasn't been busy at all. Although they do have 2 outdoor and 1 indoor pool si that helps. Parking is not too bad. There are two levels that are covered. If strongly consider this place to anyone. read more

my family and I have been coming to the lighthouse for over 10 years so this review is not about the lighthouse as a whole just the specific room we are in. we have room 401 and i was disappointed the moment we walked in the door. the decor is so dark and it brings the entire condo down. everything is cheap-mattresses, porch furniture, bedding, tvs, and much more. the owner of this condo won't even give us access to the wifi and they just let themselves in randomly and scared us half to death. it has only been one day and I'm disappointed. read more

Stayed in condo 812. House keeping doesn't clean under anything. Nice view of he gulf from a decent size balcony. Lower level parking is dangerous, be prepared for some dings on your vehicle. The air condition quit working twice, the refrigerator didn't keep anything cool and the dryer did not work. The location was good. read more

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Lighthouse Condominiums. The first time was very good about 5 years ago. However, things have changed! The 1st time, there were security folks at the entrance any time of the day or night! That's definitely needed again. If your looking for peace & quiet, choose a different place to stay. They don't close the pool until 11pm so don't expect to sit on your balcony and enjoy listening to the waves in your oceanfront condo. Very noisy! If you like to come to the beach and scream & curse up & down beach area late at night, then come to the Lighthouse. Security is lacking so everyone else will control your comfort! Oh, and don't forget to bring your music box and turn the volume up too... lol Last time here for us. Such a shame. Our condo #402 has too many issues to list but the worst is the "king bed" mattress is broke down as well Lighthouse needs to run a list of upkeep that owners should follow in order to rent through any vacation rental companies! It still reflects on them!! So sad to spend this much $$$ per night and not enjoy anything expect a great view and front beach access. Those two things are the reason I gave 2 stars. read more

It hurts me to put this place at 4 stars. But I gotta because you can't enjoy the sweet sound of the waves anymore. And you can forget about sleeping in late. I got woken up by hammering. But the workout room is nice and you can get inside pool to your self most of the time. read more

You pay 400 a night and they tell you to not smoke on your balcony you paid for. Who cares what kind of day you've had or how many sleeping babies are in bed. Security banged on the door at 1 am to let us know that we are smoking.... are you kidding me? Never coming back. So many other problems could be going on and you come to disturb OUR well-earned peace just to prove a point. Shame on you. read more

Stayed here in May 2015. Clean, on beach, beach is kept clean and the beach staff is fast and efficient. Like t he beach here because goes straight to gulf while others have an incline. Indoor pool available, outdoor pools one deeper one kiddie pool. All condos face gulf and have ample sized balconies. Plenty of covered parking. read more

The condo I stayed in was just fine. The review is more about the area. There is not much to do around here compared to other beaches. If you want a really calm beach environment for the family, then look no further. However, be aware of the fact that there are just not a lot of restaurants around the area worth going to, and the entertainment outside of the beach is very limited. You can go to a track to do some go karts, or put putt, or even a little zip line place (insanely expensive), but that wasn't our cup of tea. The best thing that you can do is take a 35 minute trip to Pensacola to see the national naval aviation museum, which is FREE and really well done. If you crave any sort of entertainment on top of the beach experience then this is NOT the beach for you. read more

We absolutely love the Lighthouse! Our family has been staying here every summer for the last 10 years and will always continue to do so. Parking is never an issue and the elevators are fast. The common areas are always well maintained. The units are comfortably sized and all have a great view of the gulf. We have never had an issue with any of the units we've stayed in over the years. read more

We had a great stay here. Our condo was lovely and the condo itself has great amenities. It is close and convienent to lots of restaurants and shops. FurtherWe rented a beach chair for the week and our attendant, Alex, could not have been better. Chairs were clean everyday, he moved the umbrella to our liking several Times a day. A lot to like here. We got this place from Home Away and got a really good deal on the place. Every room could be a little different so I will focus on the things to do here along with amenities. First they had two really nice outdoor pools that were heated along with an indoor pool. They also had two hot tubs. Another nice thing about this resort is they had tow really nice walk ways to to the ocean and both had showers and hoses so you could spray yourself off before going to the pools are back to your room. The location is ideal in Gulf Shores also. I would highly recommend this place. read more

My stay at the lighthouse condos was wonderful but I would like to share with you [the reader of this review] a story about how phenomenal the management of the property is. Like a foolish beach goer, I lost my wallet and eyeglasses one day at the pool. A vacationer's worst nightmare. Once I realized that my items were likely with the property management I began to make phone calls. Every person I spoke to was kind, concerned, and willing to do whatever it took to help my situation. Eventually the items were located and the property manager personally mailed my items back to me in Atlanta. I was so impressed by the level of hospitality and touched by the kindness and generosity. At Lighthouse unit 311, we arrived to find no toilet paper, no paper towels, no dish soap for the sink, very few supplies at all. Never been in a VRBO that supplied so little. To top it all, we had to buy a parking pass - the unit did not come with parking, even though there were spaces directly in front of the unit. Good view of the ocean made this two stars instead of the one star I had planned. read more

Condo unit 1017, such a terrible unit, please don't stay here, the beds are unusable they have such big dents in them. I can barely walk after spending a couple of days on the bed, and my husband and I couldn't even sleep in the same bed because it had such big ruts, one on the pullout couch one in the bed. The pullout couch is just as bad as the bed. The floors are so dirty that if you don't have shoes on your feet will be black. The keypad on the door was broken making it impossible to get into our room, she didn't even care and it took us threatening to hire a locksmith on her done before she got out over here. We still made our vacation good but staying at this condo did not make it easy for us. Also all of the furniture has stains on it so if you want a clean condo choose wisely and stay somewhere else. read more

Beautiful views, quiet and the pools are great. The photos don't do this place justice. It was better than what we looked at online. The condo we rented was great too. Close to the hang out where people go out at night and close to orange beach for a nice day trip. read more
