Justin called back withing a half hour on a Saturday to discuss and schedule a Monday morning visit. Upon inspection, he determined that we needed a new water heater. Depends on expectation and job. He provided quick and good service for my mother in replacing…read morekitchen faucet and sink, then again in warranty replacement of the sink. Latter he replaced the drain from sink to the main in basement, all good jobs. In building my shop, he didn't follow instructions to plumb utility room room drain and floor drains to daylight, but instead routed into the septic. General contractor didn't catch it before cementing. At time, with little use it was ok. Now issues arise as the Iron out system flushes 4-600 gallons at a time into the septic which can overwhelm it with increased use at home. Also all the debris and sediment that is washed into the shop floor drains is causing clogging of the filter in the septic system. EXPENSIVE FIX. Would not use for unsupervised work, but for daily plumbing is good.

HORRIBLE service and even worse quality. I called Randy to update plumbing in my house I am…read morerenovating. Originally I had him install a water main shutoff and I liked him so much I had him replace the main stack and rough in plumbing throughout the house. From this point on I realized what a lousy businessman Randy is. During his initial time here giving me an estimate he told me he would get the necessary permits and I don't need to worry. When you call R and R Plumbing you will reach Randy's wife Dawn. If you call there in the morning she will answer the phone, but is always pre occupied talking to her crew and complaining about how busy she is. If you call in the afternoon Dawn may or may not answer and if she does she is "away from her desk" and may or may not return your call. Randy was very quick to say he could find a better toilet that I could buy in store. I said ok great do you have a picture because I don't want just any toilet? Nope. "I will have the guys pull one out of the box and have Dawn send you a pic" That never happened. Even after asking a second and third time, I said the hell with it and found one myself. Moving along, I wanted a washtub installed in the basement and it was the same line as before. "I can find you one way better than you can find in the store" Okay great get me one. That never happened either. Not only did Dawn keep sending me an invoice for $100 or so that I had already paid and previously disputed, I repeatedly asked her for my current invoice. She said I should have gotten it but she would "look into it and get back to me" As you can probably guess by now, that didn't happen either. I had to call her again to request it be sent again AND ask her about the permit Randy said he would get. I had to ask because by this time I was fed up and hired a new plumber. This is where the story takes a nice turn. I have never done a renovation before and it would have been nice to be told that I needed to have an inspection done by the city. I am guessing he didn't mention it because he never got the permits they told me they would. When I called him out on this to Dawn she gave me some lame story about how she rubs elbows with the people that work for the city and its "actually not a big deal" She told me worse case scenario I would get a small fine, no big deal. Obviously she doesn't have an attorney because mine assured me that was NOT the case. Moving along, she LIED to me AGAIN on the phone and said Randy just took care of it. She asked if I would like to schedule more work and I said no thank you. After having a quality plumber look at Randy's crappy work he rolled his eyes and said "this is not good" The main stack had been hacked so many times it looked like a kid took 50 pieces of random pipe and glued them together. After telling the new plumber what I was doing in the bathroom he said he has know idea wtf Randy's plan was but he would have to redo all his work. This included replacing the stack again and properly roughing in the bathroom with the rest of the work I needed finished. He pointed out pipes glued together crooked and even broken fittings. I wouldn't recommend Randy to work on ANYTHING! Call ANYONE besides R and R Plumbing. I wish I had, it cost me THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!

From a YouTube video, I saw that it was relatively short and easy to fix, but still wanted a professional to fix it. I called Plymouth Plumbing and Heating and got a quote of $149 an hour, $25 travel charge plus parts and labor. 2 workers came (i was surprised by this, but figured one of them was on the job training) and told me what I already knew....the flex hose needed to be replaced and finished the job in about 30 minutes. I expected a bill about $275. The bill was for $413. I was a bit surprised that their hourly rate starts from when they leave the shop (20 minutes away), which I was not told about. But what really surprised me was that I was billed $280 for the labor done by the two workers. I was quoted an hourly rate of $149 and the actual work took about 30 minutes. Even with traveling time of 40 minutes, that would be at the most 1.10 hours, nowhere near $280. After several correspondences, they still insisted that I owed for the labor of the extra worker...even though they never said in their quote that the labor per hour would be doubled if they sent two workers! I believe that Plymouth Plumbing & Heating acted in bad faith. They should go by what they quote. The work done was fine and they used copper fittings instead of flex hose, but it was not worth $400 job. They did deduct $50 after I complained, but the bill was still at least $50 more than what I expected , based on their quote and how long it took to do the work. I would definitely ask them to i get a more solid quote BEFORE they start.
