The food was amazing and it's always amazing the best Mexican restaurant on Eastern Boulevard by far! Love all the staff they are also friendly and kind!

So we decided to give Mexico Lindo another try and they totally redeemed themselves! We had Gaby (Ally Z.) for our server and she was fantastic!! Ask for her...you won't be sorry. She was the only server here tonight, and we were not left waiting. I ordered the Burrito al Carbon, but wanted it topped with the roasted poblano sauce rather than the sauce it normally comes with. No problem. And it was liberally, not skimpily covered. So yummy to dip chips in!! Rick ordered the Burrito guacamole with a side of the poblano sauce. Sense the theme? The poblano sauce, while it looks strange, tastes amazing!! I'm glad that we gave Mexico Lindo a second chance and didn't rely on our first impressions. The food here is so good, and now the service is up to par as well.

Mexico Lindo is a really great spot to come and get tacos. Although it doesn't beat out it's other competitors, it offers a variety of foods that are full of flavor. The service was a little slow but we did come in with a huge group. The staff was super polite, even when I struggled to order my food in Spanish. Definitely a place worth trying.

I swear to you!!! I have eaten a lot of tacos! And I do mean authentic tacos. These are by far some of the best tacos I have ever had in my life. I was greeted with such care the lady in the restaurant she was so sweet she was so kind she was patient I got the margarita and it was giving life I tell you, FREE CHIPS AND SALSA! my only complaint is I got the "quesabirria" I was expecting it to be crispy but they were completely soggy but I didn't mind because my husband got the trio fajitas and asada tacos so I was pretty occ I will be back and I will forever be a customer. Although it is a gem, it is in a area where you have to be in the area or be willing to go to so it doesn't seem like it gets so busy but promise you you will not be disappointed!

My friend happened to walk by this restaurant that recently opened, with no sign. This has become our go-to Mexican restaurant. The shrimp fajitas for one are enough to share. The margaritas are good. Unless you plan to share do not order the large margarita- it's 55 ounces! It's huge!

I've recently moved back to the area . I wanted a tort-a . This place did not disappoint it was delicious and fresh . The queso and chips and salsa was so good . I'm going to have to go back and dine in .

I wish I could join the chorus of 4 and 5 star reviews. Looking for a restaurant with atmosphere?…read more You won't find it here. My first warning was the decrepit sign over the door in a dilapidated strip center. But, as the saying goes, "don't judge a book by its cover." The food was good. Not great. My usual order is fajitas, this time a chicken, steak, and chicken combo. The plate was served sizzling. Served with 3 small tortillas and the usual fixin's. El Mexicano doesn't serve any beans other than refried, so, no option for black beans, pinto or borracho. The shrimp in the dish were perfect, the chicken was dried out and there were about 6 little strips of steak. The grilled onions and peppers were very good. My wife's shrimp dish was very salty. She prefers the interpretation of Shrimp Mexicana at others Mexican restaurants. And for good measure, because we asked for some lime to squeeze on the shrimp and they tacked on $2 to the bill. But what really resulted in my barely average review was the cleanliness of El Mexicano; or rather, the lack of it. You'll notice a yellow bucket that hangs on the wall in the dining room, yes, in full sight of diners. I witnessed a server drop something on the floor, grab a cloth from the bucket and clean the floor. Then, she returned the cleaning cloth to the bucket. Moments later, another server used the same cloth to clean tables! The health department would have a hissy fit if they saw this. Worse, when I mentioned this to the manager, he was indifferent. I know he understood me, he just didn't care. If the manager is so indifferent to such an obvious health hazard, I can't fathom what goes on in the kitchen. El Mexicano is a "one and done" for us.

Love the food and great service! We have tried several places and this has become our go to!read more

My wife had chicken with shrimp, grilled vegetables and smothered in cheese. I went with Chicken Monterrey. Same deal. Chicken with grilled veggies smothered in cheese. Our friends went with El Tres-3 enchiladas. Cheese, chicken & pork. Smothered in cheese. Are we beginning to see a pattern? Throw in a steak burrito and we've got a full table. The meal started with a good margarita, fairly thick, not greasy chips and a mild salsa. Thankfully, there was some habanero hot sauce to give the salsa some kick. Tortillas served with dinner were probably from a bag and served cold. They were wrapped in foil, but I doubt they ever saw the inside of an oven. Both chicken dishes came with the thinnest chicken breast I'd ever seen. Pounded to the thickness of a piece of tilapia. So thin, it was difficult to find the chicken once it was buried in cheese. The rice and refried beans were standard fair. They don't offer charro or borracho or black beans. And the lack of any noticeable seasoning made for a very bland dinner. Service was very good. The food was served piping hot. Prices were reasonable. I just wish it had some flavor beyond cheese.

They start you with these funky fried crisps. No salsa or pico-but on the bright side you don't fill up with chips. Good thing, because the portions are ginormous! It's rare I can't finish a meal, but my shredded beef with mole was more than enough for a takeout box. I ordered the platter, so my meal came with rice and refried beans. We had the leftovers for lunch the following day. My wife ordered two alacart items. Shrimp cerviche and a chicken taco. Both well prepared. And as a side bonus, the tortillas were outstanding. I'm not a fan of corn tortillas, but these home made gems had flavor and didn't fall apart like packaged ones. Same with the crispy corn shells for the tostada. Great crunch and real flavor. Beer was served cold along with a frosted mug and a slice of lime. Everything is made to order. One fella was the chief, cook & bottle washer. And waiter. He speaks English when he sees you struggling with the menu. He made us feel very welcome. This is a down to earth diner that hasn't seen any updating since day one, but the food is excellent, the restrooms are clean and the service was perfectomundo.

I was able to explore the menu but I knew I had walked in for a ceviche. Glad waitress clarified the typo on large shrimp ceviche's price, which immediately translated to honesty. Thei give you a complimentary savory broth with hints of seafood flavor and potatoes which is a welcoming opening. The flavor was excellent the tostadas are like home made non commercial, loved them. Their give you fresh lime or already squeezed natural lime juice. I had a campechano (mixed) taco and a pastor taco. Which they have for .99 on Tuesdays so I will be a regular on Tuesdays too. There is parking on the front and on one of the sides of the place. The team was quick with food, attentive to all needs and very professional and friendly. And the price value is amazing. There are many items I still have to try but it is in my top 3 list for Mexican food in Kentuckiana!

I'm sitting here scratching my head as why because at best, this is a 3-star place and barely at that. The food was okay but nothing to write home about. I've had much better Mexican food at other places. I ordered the Chori Pollo which is chorizo on top of grilled chicken with cheese and white rice. My order was taken down wrong and I ended being given something entirely different. They did end up making it correct for me. The horchata I ordered was really good and one of the better ones I've had from a place. My server was nice despite taking down my order entirely wrong. The interior is nice. It the music is absolutely too loud and constantly playing so you may need to talk a bit louder than usual if you want to have a conversation with anyone dining with you. I can't see myself returning to this establishment and one that I wouldn't recommend. I had to fight with flies the entire time I was dining which added to the rather displeasing time I was here. The prices for the food isn't too terrible and pretty standard if you've been to most other Mexican restaurants that have a similar menu. Do yourself a favor and find another, much better place for Mexican food than here.
