Childhood comfort food . Delicious!
Carla R.

I don't care who don't like this place or complains about it . I LOVE it . I haven't had anything except cheese dip, chips and punch from this location but it's the only one left and I will continue to drive from Jacksonville area to this place for my childhood memories . My grandma used to take me to the one on Prothro Junction in the 60's , 70's snd ,80's . As a you g adult I also visited the one on Camp Robinson . Through the years I have tried to make this dip using 20 different recipes and none of them come close to actually coming here to pick it up . This was the first thing on my mind when moving back here recently. And bet I got dip and punch every time I came to Arkansas.

Half filled drink if asked with no ice... pathetic

Order meals and 2 large punches with no ice. Gave them with ice (took them back during COVID-19 epidemic) then gave me 2 with no ice but not filled ... a 1/4 empty when addressed the matter, they say that they don't fill the cups if given without ice.. really??? this is truly horrible service. I've never had an establishment do something like this degrading I won't be coming back

Chicken Flautas Combo; comes with 6 flautas, rice, beans, and a cheese dip. Pictured is a large order of guac (huuuuuuge).

This place has fantastic food!! If a 5 minute interaction with staff completely ruins your experience than maybe you got more problems in your life than just that. The staff isn't super enthusiastic but my food is always correct and good. The chicken flautas are the best I've had in the country so far, I can't get enough. The cheese dip that comes with them is absolutely killer. Great guac and chips. Enchiladas weren't too bad either. Rice and beans good. And the chicken quesadilla was good too. Definitely worth a try

A mediocre Little Rock institution that has been around as long as I have -- for almost 50-years. But, cheap tacos make it the closest thing to a Tex-Mex (not Mexican) food truck without wheels. If you want Mexican, the taqueria truck in Colonial Wine and Spirit's parking lot is far superior. But, if you want cheap taco's and other quick gut bombs, here ya go.

I've gotten severe food poisoning from this location twice now. There won't be a third time.

Best cheese dip and salsa in town! Wished we could still walk into one and sit down instead of a drive through.

The cheese dip at Mexico Chiquito is my favorite. Unfortunately the drive-through line is VERY long.

We'd barely been seated 2 minutes before our server approached. "Can I start you off with some…read moreCheese Dip?" he cheerfully asked. Melting Pot Cheese Dip ($9), a food I don't recall ever previously experiencing, is said to have been invented in Arkansas and is considered an important part of Arkansas food culture. It's Tex-Mex-adjacent but closer to some delicious version of Cheese Whiz than Queso Fundido. Strewn with a liberal application of jalapeños and served with a big basket of fresh tortilla chips, this is the best way to start any meal but certainly the only way to start a meal here. We followed with Fish Fry Tacos (2 for $16.50), equally fresh, unique, and satisfying and not the type of fish tacos for which San Diego is known. Accompanied by your choice of 2 sides, I loved the "Smashed Smoky Pinto Beans" and was transfixed by the fresh flavors found in the "Tomato, Cucumber, and Mint Salad". Heights Taco & Tamale features lively decor in a space that's a joy to dine in with food that makes things even better. Who knew that Arkansas had its own spin on Tex-Mex food? I'm now a rabid fan of Ark-Mex food.

I want so badly to like this place but they make it so hard…read more It's really close to the house but every time we go it's...meh. Last time my margarita didn't come until after the food. Server blamed the bartender. Bartender blamed the server, then said, "I'll speak to your server". Sugar, I don't want you to speak to my server. I just want you to mix my skinny Margarita in a glass with Tajin® on the rim- cuz Ima skinny little westside bitch- hand it to my server and send it my way. No speaking required. They have no carnitas. They have no machaca. And that tells you the whole story. I always get the Plato 47- but why? The plate looks beautiful, but visual joy doesn't carry you through. I take a couple of bites of taco, and it's just kind of bland. Same with the tamale- just not very tasty. Same with everything else, except the Margies. They are good. Let me tell you, it's a sad day when I leave more than half the food on the plate. Disclaimer: I do live in LA, and we know what Mexican food is supposed to taste like, but the food here is only photo-perfect. Did ICE carry all your Mexicans away or what? Oh yeah, BTW: #FuckICE #ChingaTuMaga
