Mexicali Tires changes tires while you wait with a speed on par with a professional race team. If your experience is slower that means the team had multiple customers. As for the quality of tires new tires are always available for purchase which come with a warrant, used tires on the other hand are AS IS WHERE IS and you inspect them before buying and installation by the time the tire is installed on your vehicle it's been inspected at least three times before you see the tire and give your own inspection and confirmation that it is in good en condition to meet your standards. After being mounted and balanced before installation it is put in the dunk tank to ensure no leaks. So make sure to take all these factors into consideration before writing a bad review because at the end of the day you were the one that came in looking for a used tire then looked at it which is where you're supposed to do your due diligence and let them install the tire. My car kept loosing air on the rear driver side so I decided to try this place out . Upon getting off I was attended quickly by a gentleman whom i told that my tire keeps getting low on psi. Immediately he starts to jack the car up and remove the tire , 20 minutes later its patch and installed and im on my way back to work. This place is great! For a quick fix on flats I highly recommend them . Lastly I wouldn't suggest buying tires here as I see on reviews theres a bit of a mis conception when buying tires here but ultimately its all up to your personal preference . read more

It's my 2nd time coming here! 1st time was for a fat nail in my back tire that they plugged for $20 and did it within 10 minutes! 2nd time was for a tire rotation on my 2019 Jeep Compass that was only going to be for $35! Jeep quoted me $50! I ended up purchasing 2 used, (but I'm very good condition), tires and the whole service including the tires costed only $150!!! AND I was out of here within 30 minutes!! I just want to throw out there that I'm a single mother in my 30's and we all know privately own, and big dealerships, LOVE to take advantage of woman such as myself. Sold me 10yr+ old tires claiming they were brand new. Within 6 months the thread on the inside of the tire gave out. I rode on a spare for a month before another one of the other tires gave out. I went down there after to see if he would warranty or at least put a spare for now. No spare, no warranty. He actually tried to sell me another set of "new" tires. Lol. Next time go to a legitimate tire shop we're they will put your warranty in writing. read more

I don't know what other negative reviewers were expecting, This is a mom and dad "used tire shop", this is where you go when you can't afford to drop hundreds of dollars on new tires. you go in, let them know how many tires you need, they show you the tires, you do a quick visual inspection, give them the go ahead and boom!, literally a few minutes later your car has newer tires than the ones you had before. there's no alignment, they don't have the machine at either location (CM, SA). I've been going to this location and the one in Costa Mesa for years and so far have not had any issues with them, of course when i want (and can afford) new tires i go to other tire places that will do everything. Personally i'm thankful there are places like these that are definitely a viable option when you need it. read more

Coming here really makes me think about how high the mark-ups are on tires. I had 2 screws in my tire resulting in a flat. Freeway honda was closest and they were going to charge me $167 for a tire replacement and explicitly told me that it could not be patched. They made a point to emphasize that. They also told me it would ruin my car in the long run if I only switched 1 instead of replacing 2. Well, I wasn't going to drop that much money. I yelped a highly rated tire shop and Mexicali's came up. I called and they asked me for the size of my tire. I had no idea. They looked it up, checked their inventory, and got me a used tire for $40. They also are open late! Which is great For people who work standard jobs and can't get out early. They took off my tire, asked me if I would like to save the tire and just patch it instead, because I had mentioned that I was leasing. He said that if I switched it I would get charged a fee. He was thoughtful and was really helpful. I ended up paying $20 for the patch, and it took less than 15 minutes!! Thanks! I definitely recommend this place! read more
