Trust me, if I could give this company zero stars, it wouldn't even come close to what it truly deserves. We were involved in an Auto Accident that was not our fault at all. Reluctantly, we were forced to purchase their so-called "full coverage" insurance, or else they would have sent us back to the airport to find another rental company. Can you believe that? After enduring 50 agonizing days of waiting, they finally decided to pay me a measly 50% of what they actually owe me. As if that wasn't enough, they had the audacity to approve my family and me to go to a private hospital for surgery, promising full reimbursement in the end. But guess what? It took a whopping 100 phone calls and approximately 150 emails just to get paid. I had to constantly follow up, follow up, and follow up again. This company clearly has no sense of integrity whatsoever. And to make matters worse, I strongly suspect that they had us under surveillance. Whenever we dared to ask them questions they didn't like, they would instantly resort to threatening us with taking us back to the airport. Well, let me tell you, within this week, I am going to create a social media campaign account specifically for people who have had negative experiences with this abhorrent company. Maybe, just maybe, we can all sign a petition for a class action lawsuit to teach them a lesson they won't forget. I will also start a campaign on Travelocity, and all of the travel agency website, letting them know exactly what happened and how they behave. They should not be allowed to operate their business on a platform that's advertised in the United States. standby for my next post by then I will have all the information to possibly join a class action lawsuit.

Pretty good on a small deposit. If you don't mind the Tupac rap music in the background and the hour wait then this place is for you!

Horrible place for not use them. They charged a mandatory insurance that was over $360 more than the car rental. Horrible customer service.

Don't rent from them worse company ever. They try to steal your card number and try to keep on charging It. Be careful they're scam artist.

I have rented…read morecars from many providers, including Hertz/Dollar for the past 25 years and this one is by far the worst. I reserved a mid size SUV prior to my arrival at a cost of $347.41. Upon arriving the agent stated the car I reserved was not available and proceeded to force me to accept a compact SUV priced 32% higher!!! My family and our luggage would not fit in the compact SUV, hence the reason I reserved the mid size. In addition, the agent proceeded to add full coverage insurance which was to increase my rental to $1,200!!! Ridiculous!!!! If I refuse the coverage then I needed to leave a $4,000 security deposit through my credit card. Unacceptable! I spent the better part of an hour renegotiating to little avail. At the end of the experience I received the original reserved vehicle. The full coverage insurance was reduced to basic coverage and my rental cost increased to $461.54. I contacted Dollar corporate to file a complaint and request assistance with honoring the original quote. Dollar corporate was of no help citing that the location in Guadalajara is a franchisee; any rental charge dispute had to be directed to the local office directly. This is a joke to say the least as the local office is where the shake down occurred. I hope some folks read this review and think twice about renting from Hertz/Dollar in Guadalajara Airport. This place is a rip off! Don't expect them to honor a reservation quote.

I've rented from Mex-Rent-A-Car many times and returned them with minor damages on a few occasions…read more Once I didn't even return it at all, as it got stolen. Each of those incidents I wasn't charged a dime since I had purchased their full coverage zero deductible insurance. It's a pricey and mandatory add-on, but it's totally worth it. I only gave them 3 out of 5 stars because they once refused to let me rent a car because they would not accept Mexican bank debit cards. Apparently they only accept Mexican credit cards, or foreign debit/credit cards, which I had none on me on that trip. The clerk was a new employee and management was gone for the evening. Even as a repeat customer they would not let me complete my booking. I found myself stranded considering it was 10:30 in the evening and my final destination was a 1.5 hour drive away. Luckily I was offered a ride by an elderly couple who were headed in the same direction as I was.

This last trip my credit card information was stolen from Sixt, I had paid off my car rental days before the arrival but at check in they required me to place a credit card for the high security deposit. I swiped my card and hours later my credit card company was calling me about fraudulent activity. A plane tickets was purchased with my stolen information plus other items , and I know it was this specific location because I didn't use my card for any other transaction. I was too afraid to confront the men who checked me in and checked me out (same men) , if they were willing to steal my information who knows what else there willing to do.... Our out the door price for what was supposed to be a Hyundai stick shift but turned out to be a Chevy automatic, was about $72 U.S. for 8 days. The fellow at the desk was very helpful and pointed out while I took photos, all the little dings the car had. Easy return too without the car being examined with a magnifying glass. No hassle when we showed our credit car collision insurance. Absolutely, no hard sell like some companies do. Free water to take with us was nice. We had to walk about 5 minutes from the airport to the office. Not bad but would have been nice to have the office in the airport. That and the fact we had to drive a Chevy for a week compared to a Hyundai, was the reason not to give it 5 starts.

My family and I were scheduled to return the rental car at the Guadalajara airport on February 22, 2026. However, due to the ongoing violence, we were unable to return the car. Our flight was canceled, and I attempted to contact the rental car company multiple times throughout the day and night on February 22 and 23, 2026, but my calls and texts went unanswered. I paid to secure my rental car in a garage to protect it from the violence in Guadalajara. It remained secured and unused for the additional duration of our stay in Guadalajara. Despite this, the company is charging me the full rental price plus the full coverage insurance I had originally paid for the dates I rented the car. Which is fine, but they are also charging me for the additional four days (February 23, 2026, to February 26, 2026), even though we were on lockdown and unable to leave our homes. The rental car company was closed and did not reach out to me until February 25, 2026. They only contacted me to ask when we would return and pay for the rental. They even had the audacity to claim that they were not penalizing me for not returning the car on the day it was due (February 22, 2026), which was the main lockdown day. When I arrived to pick up the car on February 25, 2026, I was disappointed to find that it was not ready. The car was not the original car I had rented, it was not washed, and it did not have gas. We had to wait quite some time for the car to be handed to me. This rental company is completely unacceptable. I will never rent from them again, and I strongly advise others to avoid them as well. Rented with Keddy who is ran by Europcar and they made it so difficult for me since the get go…read more When getting there they wanted me to rebook because my flight got delayed and they couldn't open up the booking on an iPad. I kid you not they had me waiting for more than 3 hours from 1-4 am with my toddler. When returning the car they said I had damaged the car. I always take a slow video of the car. I told them the damage was there and my video would load but they did not let me leave until they charges me around $500 USD. They reassured me that one the video loaded I can send it to them via email and get refund to my card. Long story short it took hours of calling, emails, and WhatsApp messages to get my money back. They were quick to charge me and made it nearly impossible for me to get my refund. I was even blocked from customer service number. I reached out to the WhatsApp as if I had a pending booking and when they replied I inquired about my refund. They are a nightmare Keddy and Europcar. Proof of me letting them know my flight was delayed and the damage was done. SCAMMERS
