MEWS has a large showroom located off Hwy 72 W in Athens. There you can see both lighting and bath fixtures as they have a lot on display. We previously shopped around online and knew exactly what we were looking for. I sent over exactly what we were looking so that we could get a quote. Compared to several other lighting stores in town, MEWS was the most competitive with pricing and truly wanted to earn your business. They were easy to get ahold of and were able to deliver differ parts of our order on short notice. I highly recommend them for any of your electrical and plumbing needs! Fun fact- MEWS is an abbreviation for Mechanical-Electrical Wholesales Supply...the more you know!

Update: After posting my review, the owner reached out to me personally. In her initial message,…read moreshe offered to refund part of my purchase if I removed my reviews. I declined because I believe reviews should reflect honest customer experiences, not be exchanged for compensation. After I explained my concerns in more detail, she listened to my feedback, said she would discuss it with her staff, and later issued me a partial refund anyway. While I appreciate that she took the time to respond and that she refunded part of my purchase, my overall concerns about the pricing, value, and customer service experience remain the same. I really wanted to love Lemon & Lavender because they have a beautiful store and a unique concept, but I left feeling genuinely shocked by the pricing. I purchased a spray bottle ($9.99) and a small jar ($2.99) to fill with products. The spray bottle was only filled about halfway, and the jar was also only about halfway full. The refills alone came to approximately $50-55. I also purchased beeswax wraps for $29.99. Even after using a coupon, my total was still close to $75. I didn't say anything at checkout because I was honestly so surprised by the total. I recently moved here from California, where the cost of living is significantly higher, and even I found these prices difficult to justify. For this area, the cost per ounce simply doesn't feel economical. I was also disappointed to learn they don't offer any military or veteran discount. Having come from a community with one of the Navy's aviation commands, I was accustomed to local businesses supporting service members and veterans whenever possible. While I understand every business sets its own policies, it was something I noticed. Overall, the products may be high quality, but the pricing makes it difficult for the average family, service member, or veteran to shop there regularly. Unfortunately, I don't see it being a budget-friendly option for most people.
