After a year of…read moreweekly lessons, he enjoyed it so much that he begged for his sister to start dancing with him, she had just turned 5 at that time. Their instructor together was Lesia. They were able to learn many dances from Lesia and even have a dance choreographed for them which they performed at the spring Showcase. Having individual lessons from a skilled instructor really makes a huge difference. Lesia was able to give them the individualized instruction they needed to be successful, additionally I was always kept informed of what dances they were learning. When it came time to show off their dances they felt confident and supported. I also enjoyed that they are learning dance techniques that can be carried on through out their lives.

The Dry Gulch Dance Club is a basic space, with a nice large dance floor, a good sound system, and…read moreplenty of parking. I gave it 4* because it is not the Statler. Tuesday nights is country line dancing with beginner lessons at 6PM, intermediate at 6:30PM, and dancing until 9/10 cost $10. My husband and I went for the first time this week. There were about 25 women of all ages in attendance. My husband and I did well with the beginner program, and stumbled through the 88!!! count intermediate program before deciding we needed to watch the You Tube video a few more times at home for that level. The group is very welcoming to newcomers, there are snack bags and water for sale or you can bring your own. I am definitely going back, and to Paula's other class at The Cove on Thursdays, as this will not defeat me. I think the Tuesday evening, and a 1st Saturday country dancing program are the only two regular events at Dry Gulch.

Then we heard about ZPAC. Best parenting decision ever made to enroll her here. Stacy Zawadzki-Janusz has encouraged, challenged, and pushed justice to be her very best self and beyond. She pushes accountability and self esteem. When Justice thinks she can't do something, Stacy says yes you can. Her 2 teachers that also work there have done the same. They have been encouraging and sometimes strict when needed. They have been sounding boards when she is having a hard time. I can not thank them enough for everything they have done for my daughter. They treat us like family and that studio has become like a second home for my girl. I love them all dearly and am so proud to be part of the ZPAC-Stacy Zawadzki's Performing Arts Center family.
