How can you expect to run a business if you say you do something, tell the potential customer you'll come look at it and are a no show?

He also cut the lock on the meter and pulled the meter to disconnect power to the house. The power company told me that could cost me (not him!) a fine of $500. Disturbing the meter then presumably caused an overheat alarm, whereupon the power company required me to have my service lines and meter replaced. I offered AAA that I would meet him in the middle - though I thought he should cover the cost of all the new work that his shoddy practices occasioned - and I would pay him half-price. He not only refused to do more than knock $100 off the price of the new work, he also refused to do anything to bring the work he had already done up to code. I argued with him, but he hung up on me. Shame on him.

Did not have water from my well, called several companies, yes they called, yes they showed up…read more... he would not listen to me tell him about my electrical grid. he wasted my time.... made a make shift power cord to my well which had power to it. he charged me $500 for a temporary power cord "that was not needed" because I had power to the well. he charged me for finding the power source to the well,"which I told him where it was." he came back the next day after calling a previous electrician that powered my well.... unhooked his" temp" power, cut the wire and took it.His girlfriend , wife, secretary? called and cursed me out, criticized my home, me and the type of job. hung up on me.

He talked to me about this issue and said maybe he could get his father to come out. The father did in fact come out. He likes to talk and looked the situation over. He thought he could fix the issue for me. Keep in mind, he's telling me his son is really bad sick. I believe what he said. He even called me a couple of days later to ask me what all I had that was a power draw from the house, like dryer, hot water tank, etc. He said he was prepared to do it but only waiting for a price. Very nice guy. He was someone who enjoyed talking. He was a good conversationalist and I didn't mind talking with it. I did have to let him go as I had an appointment to keep. That's the last I ever heard of him. Maybe something more serious came up with the health of his son but I'm not sure. Given his attitude, I would have thought that if he had to leave to take care of his son that he'd at least call and let me know he couldn't do the job as he'd planned. He knew I had no heat in the house other than a fireplace. It was cold. No heat, no hot water, limited in cooking with a camp stove but he just disappeared. I called 14 companies, four came out to look at it and only two offered to fix it. Mr. D. was one of them but then he just disappear without a trace leaving me literally in the dark. He could have called and let me know something. I wouldn't have waited more days to try to find someone. The last guy that came out said he could fix it and at that point, I didn't even ask him how much he was going to charge.

They blew off an appointment this afternoon--no show, no one called or even texted. The whole point of hiring professional tradespeople is so you can trust the quality of the results. But if they can't even be bothered to make contact when they have to reschedule, then you can't trust them with your home. These people have lost my business because of their lack of professionalism and their unwillingness to communicate.
