One of my favorite things about this school is the amount of study spaces they offer. On top of that, almost every study space is equipped with markers and a whiteboard which comes in handy when studying for big exams. Not only is the nursing building open for nursing students, but the medical building offers the same spaces with whiteboards, computers, small spaces, etc. Inside the nursing building includes a computer room that can be used for printing! Overall, the professors are competent, freindly, personable, and professional. I did not have any problems with any specific professors. They really want to see us succeed and will push us to be our best selves. They truely understand what it is like to be overwhelmed in nursing school and can relate to us UMKC nursing also offers an abundance of clinical hours. This was something that really helped me hone in on my skills and see nursing in action. Sometimes it is hard to imagine that the field is like from the classroom perspective, so seeing it live is incredibly helpful. Although the early mornings are hard, it is worth it. I did have some clinical instructors that would kind of disappear during clinicals. This program is hard. It is not a walk in the park and a lot of people had to redo classes. But this school does their best to support their students and help them succeed.

The school has a rare spirit about, it is welcoming and inclusive. The education standards are very high, and students at Maranatha consistently rank higher than at the best alternatives in our area. This school may be the most affordable and the most diverse private school in the metro area, both a huge plus! We haven't seen bullying, exclusivity, or putting up with problem people like you see in other schools. Our kids came from a public school and fit in with ease. Terrific staff and state-of-the-art facilities are an added bonus. It's easy to see why Maranatha has so many potential students shadowing and so many new enrollments!

And as expected multiple kids failed. all it is, is money hungry staff, would NOT reccomend.

We contacted Sylvan of Lee's Summit about tutoring thinking that it probably wouldn't work out because of our distance from a center. We live approximately 3 hours from Lee's Summit which is the closest center to where we live. Obviously, in person tutoring was not a feasible option for us. After discussing our options with the director, we decided to give the online program a try. We purchased tutoring hours for our daughter and she is able to log on with a code through Zoom. We have never had any major issues connecting with the center. The teachers work very hard to make her feel as though she is right there at the table with them. When it is time to do progress testing, we do have to travel to the center. How often this occurs depends on how many hours they tutor per week. Progress testing occurs after a certain number of tutoring hours. Our daughter enjoys going to the center for progress testing. It is like a treat for her to actually be in the building. We have been with Sylvan almost 8 months and will be continuing for at least another 5-6 months. Our daughter's confidence in herself in school has improved since beginning Sylvan. She enjoys seeing herself master skills during the lessons. I highly recommend Sylvan of Lee's Summit. The director and teachers are wonderful to work with and always willing to help.

The three day a week in class time and two days per week at home instruction is perfect for our family. It is a great balance. My Honest Review of New Reflections Technical Institute - CDL Program…read more I started the CDL course at New Reflections Technical Institute in May 2025. While my enrollment date was May 5th, I didn't officially begin training until May 22nd after securing my permit. The program took me about eight weeks to complete due to a few personal bumps early on--but I'm proud to say I finished strong. At first, I wasn't sure this path was for me. Trucking was never in my original plan, and I was hesitant about the structure (or lack of it, based on what I was used to). But one Saturday changed my entire perspective. Mr. Parker shared that some students had taken longer to finish but were still supported every step of the way. That moment helped me commit to finishing, despite my doubts. Once I got serious, I learned everything I needed to know--pre-trip inspections, forward stops, straight backs, road driving, and how to safely maneuver an 18-wheeler. I was given patience, time, and encouragement from every instructor. Their support played a huge role in my success. Throughout the program, I had a ton of questions--and not once did anyone make me feel like I was asking too much. Everyone was kind and patient when answering. I even asked both Tarcell and Mr. Mason to demonstrate the forward and reverse offset maneuvers--and they happily did it, without hesitation. That hands-on help made a real difference. I also got teased a little (in fun!) by one of the instructors--Mike --but it was always lighthearted and encouraging. A very important note for incoming students: while you do have to pay for your permit and license fees upfront, the school reimburses you immediately. That kind of support--both financially and emotionally--showed me they want you to succeed. Each instructor brought something valuable to the experience, but Mr. Parker stood out during road training. He had this signature line: "Watch those tandems!" I still hear it in my head--and thanks to that, I didn't hit a single curb or sign. I drove clean and precise, and that voice in my mind definitely helped! The overall atmosphere at the school was positive. I got along with all the students, and while some were quieter than me, everyone was kind. The instructors were respectful, helpful, and genuinely invested in helping us finish strong. I give New Reflections 4.5 out of 5 stars. The only reason it's not a perfect 5 is because of my initial adjustment to the structure--but in hindsight, the flexibility actually helped me more than I realized. I want to personally thank Cielo, Mr. Mason, Tarcell, Mr. Parker, and Mike for making my experience pleasant. Your support, patience, and encouragement helped me cross the finish line--and I'm truly grateful. If you're ready to get your CDL--even if you're unsure at first--this school will meet you where you are, work with you through your challenges, and help you succeed.
