After graduating here with a BSN, I can confidently recommend the school of nursing to people…read morewanting to start their nursing career. One of my favorite things about this school is the amount of study spaces they offer. On top of that, almost every study space is equipped with markers and a whiteboard which comes in handy when studying for big exams. Not only is the nursing building open for nursing students, but the medical building offers the same spaces with whiteboards, computers, small spaces, etc. Inside the nursing building includes a computer room that can be used for printing! Overall, the professors are competent, freindly, personable, and professional. I did not have any problems with any specific professors. They really want to see us succeed and will push us to be our best selves. They truely understand what it is like to be overwhelmed in nursing school and can relate to us UMKC nursing also offers an abundance of clinical hours. This was something that really helped me hone in on my skills and see nursing in action. Sometimes it is hard to imagine that the field is like from the classroom perspective, so seeing it live is incredibly helpful. Although the early mornings are hard, it is worth it. I did have some clinical instructors that would kind of disappear during clinicals. This program is hard. It is not a walk in the park and a lot of people had to redo classes. But this school does their best to support their students and help them succeed.

They could not figure out their finances, we never got our tables which were in our tuition, a poor online service for turning in homework and test taking, and poor communication. I love that it is an actual immersion class instead of the teacher translating words. My daughter understands Spanish but wasn't speaking it prior to the class, except for words here and there. The teacher actually got her to speak sentences in class. I was very impressed. My only critique is that I wish there were more times available that would fit our schedule and that summer camp would go all day instead of half day.

"Yes, she will be cared for by loving people who are patient, kind and love kids." "Yes, she will learn the necessary social skills to interact/play well with her peers." "Yes, she will play and have time to be a kid." After months of research, we started taking our daughters to Outreach Christian last May. One year later, I am proud to say that yes my 5 year-old daughter can do all of the above. She is happy and healthy. She has play-dates every other weekend with friends from school. We read together every night--and she has not even started Kindergarten. She loves her teachers and creative projects & schoolwork they do everyday at her own "little desk". As a full-time working mother, I was nervous being away from her for 9 hours a day. But the director and staff at OCE delivered on all of their promises to me. I highly recommend Outreach Christian Education to anyone who needs a childcare provider that will treat your kids like their own and will embrace you as family.
