They say that your order should be with you in an hour and they are always pretty good keeping to this time. The pizzas themselves are extremely tasty and they have a great topping to base ratio. The pizzas I go for are generally thin crust but you can also choose between Calzones, Chicago deep dish styles and rectangular shaped ones. My personal favourites are the Moroccan lamb and the Philly Steak. The BBQ chicken calzone is also really good. On our last time ordering they got the salad order wrong. We called them up and within 15-20 mins they had replaced it with the correct one. So I'd say the service is pretty good. Crust is not a cheap option though. But for gourmet pizzas places that deliver i don't know of a better place that delivers to Fiztroy. Please enlighten me....

They are reasonably quick in regards to deliveries, usually only a half hour wait and the gents that come to the door are always very friendly. You can order online if you are too lazy to pick up the phone, however they only take credit cards for some reason which is quite frustrating, so we always end up just giving them a call. Yes it can be expensive, but that's the price you pay if you don't want to get a greasy version from a certain cheap chain.

My pizza was cold and forgotten last night. Giardinos has really decreased in food quality over the…read moreyears, however, the real downpoint is their treatment of customers and staff. Unless you are a regular that they know, you are treated with low priority. Another note, when I went to pick up my pizza last night, one of the owners was yelling at her staff member (at a woman who has served me before and I remember her being very helpful indeed. Always smiling. One of their more senior waiters). Not to get in the middle of whatever was happening there but she looked very upset and it was uncomfortable to watch. I was also ignored throughout this time and then when I asked who I believe was another owner for help, they grunted and walked off on me! The gentleman whom seemed to be making the pizzas was also disgruntled by the commosion and looked unhappy by the drama. And I heard a few patrons gossiping about how this place treats their staff terribly at times. If you scroll down just a few months ago and a year ago, there are others complaining about this place for the same reasons (creating bad energy by yelling and swearing at staff). I believe morale represents food in a restaurant (being a starter of 8 restaurants myself), and seeing this made me uncomfortable, not to mention the food hasn't been good at all for months now (and my pizza? It was a 2/10 last night. That's being generous). I hate giving bad reviews and only ever do if they are due. This is not a country town, it's an inner city suburb. Some professionalism would go a long way for this place, and is expected in this area as far as I am concerned. My family and friends will go elsewhere in future.

Even their pasta, which I dont usually care for from a pizza shop, is actually quite tasty. They also specialize in bbq ribs, as well and to be honest, they do a pretty good job of that, too. The pizzas are moderately priced and the range is quite large. They have 3 pricings, traditional, house favorites and gourmet. In most cases , the gourmet option will cost you upto $10 more but not at blue tongue. The gourmet option is only $2-3 more and well worth it. I've only ever had one bad experience from this establishment wherein the pizza base somehow tasted stale but, after ordering pizza from here nearly oncea week every week for the past 2 years then thats not a bad hit rate. The staff are always friendly and they dont seem to mind if you'rein a talkative mood. They do catering packs as well but they dont do any of the traditional family pack deals which is a little dissapointing as i have a 2 year old that has his own idea on what tasty is.

But, thankfully, Crisp Pizza in Flemington isn't simply a poor rip-off of the better known Crust. Crisp do a really high quality pizza - they slow-roast their meat and vegetables in house daily, and the flour in the base is organic. This makes for a whole lot of taste. There are a few truly unique pizzas at Crisp that I've not seen anywhere else, like Spicy Baked Feta, Spinach and Haloumi, Peking Duck and Korma Chicken. I haven't tried all these flavours, because I love the La Paella so much I keep ordering it - it's like a Spanish paella whacked on a pizza, with prawns, paprika, chorizo, red onion, peas, capsicum and mozzarella. Bizzare but so good! Delivery time is reasonable (usually about 45 minutes) and they've also got a range of pastas, salads and desserts for those freaks who don't like pizza.

I'm a sucker for a gourmet pizza, but don't even waste your money on one here. A potato or pumpkin pizza? Might be different, but to me its certainly not gourmet. Traditional pizza's are ok, the Calabrese is my fave. But they are completely over-topped, so quite often the shredded ham closest to the pizza base is not cooked properly. The service is fantastic though, and they do deliver for a fee. And the gluten, dairy and yeast free pizza bases made on site are all redeeming factors. But man, are these pizza's overpriced for what you get!! Tip: They taste so much better after a few alcoholic beverages.
