I wondered into their assembly warehouse, that was surprisingly clean and well organized, where they were building, with great kit glove precision I might add, a gigantic ship hull. I have a small retirement pool business and I needed someone to help me with a welding repair for my service cart. Even though my needs were not related to their usual business protocol, Jim, the owner and manager, was kind enough to have a couple of his men do the repair for me, at a very reasonable price, while I waited. (Actually a bit less than he probably ordinarily would have gotten for the welding quality that I received). Under my breath, a little embarrassed, I told him: "they're doing a much better, more professional, job than I had expected or agreed to pay for." He responded with a hardy: "Everything we do here is top-notch regardless of how small or insignificant it may seem!" Honestly, that's what he said! We both chuckled at his knee jerk, spontaneously good natured, proud American response. I gotta say that it's was nice to run into these unexpected "good Samaritans" in my time of need! It's good to know that our good old fashioned, American ethics in quality of performance and product are still alive and well out there!
