Instead of addressing these concerns--or even reviewing my EKG results in detail--Dr. Shah repeatedly redirected the conversation to my weight. I specifically asked about my EKG, and his only response was, "It was fine, but if you lost some of the weight, your pain would be more manageable." As a nurse with over 11 years of experience in healthcare, I found the dismissiveness and lack of empathy deeply disappointing and frankly unprofessional. My weight was not new information to me--but the unexplained edema I'm experiencing from my toes to my eyelids certainly deserved more investigation. The appointment lasted less than 10 minutes. I did not feel heard, supported, or properly evaluated. If your primary goal is weight loss and that alone, perhaps this office will meet your needs--but if you're searching for thorough, compassionate care that addresses the full picture of your health, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.
