I also saw her work with two others during my hour (typically 2-3 clients per therapist at my locale) and noted that her attentive listening skills, careful monitoring of correct positioning (even from across the room) and thoughtful selection of moves based on supplied info was the same high quality for each client. She's also got a warm, humorous but also professional demeanor that put me at ease and made me feel secure about my care and even made it pleasant experience. I do not passionately crave all types of exercise, so that was a good motivator. Again, she was subbing for just one day, but I understand that she's new to the Prospect practice, so thought it might be helpful to provide this single-visit snapshot.

The chairs for patients are extremely uncomfortable. The patient sinks into the chair and has a serious problem getting up. This place has no windows. The only ventilation is air conditioning that is mostly turned off. After 15 minutes of waiting, 10 patients start having trouble breathing and all cough at once. It is very dangerous for people with asthma. People wait in the hallway or street to avoid coughing. (Maybe keeping the door open will help). Recently I had three doctor's appointments in one day. One appointment was cancelled, and I got there 2 hours early. This place is always full of patients. The nurse Practitioner who usually takes care of me had time to go outside 3 times... I was able to get my blood testing done in the exam room and the imaging was done immediately afterwards next door. The facility is private and clean. I was tired of going to a facility where it's very crowded in the waiting area. Also, I wasn't a fan of my name getting called loudly in the waiting area and having to wait a long time to be seen. At FemGyn, the experience is the total opposite. I was seen shortly after completing some paperwork. The front desk representative was sweet and professional. Wow! Just, wow!…read more Maybe over my lifetime I've just had bad luck with doctors, but Dr Berk shines above the rest. Firstly, I went in and was actually listened to rather than having the Dr wait for me to stop talking. He never interrupted me and let me interrupt him, when I did so accidentally. I regularly feel Dr's don't listen to me. Sure, their training is in medicine and they are the experts, but I am certainly the expert at what I am experiencing. If I feel regularly shut down as a man, I can only imagine how women are made to feel with most doctors. So this first off was an excellent sign. Secondly, he was friendly, upbeat and polite. That's not necessary but a nice touch. On to the checkup. He was methodical. He told me exactly what he was doing. When I told him I thought my BP was a little high on his machine, rather than ignoring me he did a second check to ensure it was correct. He was knowledgeable about my ailments, my medications and I didn't get the feeling he was just trying to rush me out the door to increase his turnover cash. This guy is aces in my books and I changed my primary care physician to him today. I'm angry I didn't find a doctor like him sooner. I've only seen him once and his businessman paraphernalia is a little disconcerting. I like money too but it makes me uneasy. I had to sign a form saying I am responsible for the full final cost. Most doctors I've seen will charge a high amount for the insurance and "forgive" the rest. Gotta say that makes me uneasy as well. We'll see how it goes going forward in terms of how badly it hits my wallet and I will update.

So she's allowed to make you wait for hours but if you need a concession to her extremely strict cancellation policy she's heartless. Despite her always booking way too many patients in a day anyway. It's all about the money for her. If you have Medicaid or Medicare she will treat you like garbage. I've had far better doctors over the years and I will never forget the way she treated me and my family.
