PSA: Please avoid this facility at all costs. I was treated with the wrong medication…read more On the morning of 11/28/2025, I went to CitiMD for treatment for a urinary tract infection (UTI). I was seen by a physician who collected a urine sample, confirmed that I had a UTI, and prescribed medication. I had the prescription filled immediately and paid $48.50; I do not have prescription drug coverage. I took one pill when I got home and another around 11:00 p.m. I continued the same regimen on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday morning, for a total of seven doses. On Monday, 12/1, I received a call from the Customer After Care Center in the Philippines informing me that I had been prescribed the wrong medication. I was told that I would need to return to CitiMD for treatment. I explained that this would require another co-pay and another $48.50. I asked whether she could call my pharmacist with the correct prescription, but she said she could not. I asked her to refund me my original co-pay & the cost of the prescription. She laughed. I did not laugh. She insisted I contact CitiMD. I am deeply concerned that I took seven doses of the wrong medication before being notified of the error. I am also concerned that it took three and a half days to inform me that the prescription was incorrect. Given the seriousness of this situation, I believe the prescribing doctor should be held accountable. I suspect malpractice. When I contacted CitiMD, I was met with everything except kindness. Their priority was protecting the doctor -- a full-on cover your ass operation rather than addressing my concerns. The customer service was the worst I have ever experienced. I was hung up on three separate times and left on hold for two hours. They refused to let me speak with the attending physician on duty that day. Instead, they continued to point me in the direction of the Philippines Customer After Care Center even after I explained the Philippines wanted nothing to do with me. Since I could not get a call back, I decided to see my PCP to receive proper medical care. He was alarmed by what I had experienced. Given the circumstances outlined above, it is reasonable that I will not be paying the $31.65. I contacted Social Security, explaining that garnishing $31.65 from my check would only escalate the situation further.

Such a great experience from start to finish. Do show up at least an hr before they close, though!…read more I spent the night before at mt sinai ER for 9 hrs and got disregarded and an advil. The overseeing dr was about 22 and spent 20 seconds with me after a 7 hr wait. I walked out at 3 am. I sure the bill will be astronomical. I returned the next day to a dr at this urgent care instead. First thing I noticed was that it was 10x cleaner than mt sinai. No dirty diapers or garbage around. Spotless. I was checked in digitally and waited maybe 2 minutes for my appointment, which the dr spent at least 8 minutes with me and actually listened. I was tested for strep and flu immediately, unlike the hospital, where the dr "guessed" it was viral. I was sent home to rest with 2 scripts called in immediately. Payment $25 copay, they took my flex benefit card off my phone no problem. Unless you are literally about to die, go here, not the ER.

I am writing this as an update regarding my experience with CityMD…read more As of today (April 7), I am still dealing with the consequences of a mishandled drug screening that took place back in December. I received a job offer that same month, and due to multiple errors on CityMD's end including failure to administer the correct tests and incorrect paperwork I was forced to repeat the entire process more than once. Because of these mistakes, my onboarding process has been significantly delayed, and I have experienced a loss of income and opportunities that were completely out of my control. What is most concerning is not just the error itself, but the lack of accountability and proper communication throughout the situation. As a patient, I trusted that the staff handling regulated screenings would follow the correct procedures. Unfortunately, that was not the case. At this point, I am exploring further steps, including seeking legal guidance, due to the impact this situation has had on my employment and finances. I hope this serves as feedback for improvement, as situations like this can have serious consequences for individuals relying on these services for their careers
