I have dealt with this business before and have never experienced anything like what happened during this phone call. The young lady who answered the phone seriously needs additional customer service training--or perhaps needs to reconsider working in a position that requires dealing directly with customers. Her attitude, lack of professionalism, and complete unwillingness to simply listen to what I was asking were unbelievable. I called with what should have been a very simple question. She misunderstood what I was asking, so I calmly repeated myself and tried to clarify my question. Instead of listening or attempting to understand what I needed, she hung up on me! Thinking perhaps the call had been disconnected, I called back. I explained that I had just been hung up on, and rather than apologizing or trying to resolve the situation, she responded with, "IT WAS ME." I honestly could not believe what I was hearing. I once again tried to explain why I was calling and repeated my question. Since she apparently could not--or would not--help me, I asked if she could simply take down my phone number and have her boss call me back. Apparently, even that was too much to ask. She told me that she could not take my number for her boss to call me back and then HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN! Twice. I was deliberately hung up on TWICE for simply asking a question and requesting to speak with someone who could help me. RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! Customer service is about listening, communicating, and treating people with basic courtesy and respect--even when there is a misunderstanding. There was absolutely no reason for this situation to escalate the way it did. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I simply had a question and wanted an answer or, at the very least, the opportunity to leave my contact information for someone else to call me back. What makes this even more disappointing is that I have never been treated this way by this business before. That is why this experience was so shocking to me. One employee's behavior can completely change the way a customer views an entire business, and unfortunately, this interaction left an extremely negative impression. I am beyond disappointed and disgusted by the way I was treated.
