Metro Pointe is a nice outdoor mall across from South Coast Plaza. They have stores you would find at an outlet center with lower prices than their parent stores. They have plenty of places to eat. There's a litt food court with a fountain. Parking is plentiful. Its a nice place to shop. read more

Located in this facilities is a shopper's paradise where in it has DSW. Nordstrom Rack, Tillies, Best Buy's, Starbucks and a lot more shops I really don't remember during this writing. read more

Whatever you do, don't see a movie in Theater 5. The projector has a known issue where the entire middle of the screen has a yellow tint. I will never pay for a ticket to see a show if it's in that theater. Meanwhile, theater 6 right next to it had a great, very colorful projector that looked correct. I really want to recommend this place because some screens are okay. But unfortunately, Metro Pointe Regal is the black sheep in the area. They don't seem to want to spend the money to renovate it like the other Regals. Which is a shame because it has a decent selection of smaller films compared the superior UCI Regal, which has much better screens and seats but only the same 4 movies on repeat. Once you see what they offer, the only other options are Big Newport and then all the way at Irvine Spectrum. I wish Regal would hurry up and make Metro Pointe worth spending money at again. Even when the screen and sound works correctly, the seats are sticky and the place just feels run down. This was my favorite theater when I was a kid. I will only go here if the movie I want to see isn't playing anywhere else, and I'm definitely walking out and demanding a refund if the picture doesn't look right. read more

Let me start by saying that the restaurant is absolutely freezing no matter where you sit in the establishment. ensure to bring a jacket and don't wear a dress as is just way too cold. The service was impeccable our server was there at any given time that we needed him he offered additional beverages when a glass was empty he made suggestions on the food he was very candid in his responses but always was truthful. I ordered the flame and yawn and my husband ordered the Porter house. we also ordered the garlic mashed potatoes and the Brussels sprouts. we started off with the French onion soup which was very flavourful and very plentiful of soup perit both of our stakes were ordered medium mine came medium rare his came medium mine had to go back for refire. the garlic mashed potatoes were wonderful nice and creamy no lumps they were really wonderful. The Brussels sprouts on the other hand I felt were under seasoned and could have had bacon in some balsamic when they roasted them and That would have given the Brussels sprouts more flavor and elevated it for the amount of money that you pay for it. great establishment we would definitely go back but definitely do expect to pay a high dollar. read more

We live nearby and so we love walking through metro pointe in the day and night time. In the daytime, it's bustling with shoppers, walkers and people just wanting to grab a bite to eat. At night, it's pretty romantic with three lanterns on, hanging lights and music playing throughout the complex. There is a constant light breeze that flows through the place and it's especially lovely on a warm and sunny day. The shops are great in this area, you have: Nordstrom Rack, Bloomingdales Outlet, Marshalls, Saks of the 5th, Container Store, Best Buy and many others. You have a variety of inexpensive food shops to grab a bite and Coldstone for a quick dessert. The place is always clean and sanitized. The property management really cares and maintains this place very well. read more

This open-air shopping center focuses mostly on off-price vendors and Big Box, and they do it really well. Sak's, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, have their off-price versions here along with Marshalls and DSW. The other store present include Best Buy and The Container Store. All this is conveniently placed across the street from South Coast Plaza and offering a few great restaurants for a nice meal or snack and a movie theater for your entertainment. Plenty of free parking here too, you won't have any issues. I wish there were more stores actually, it's really a fantastic location to shop! read more

This is a nice plaza with lots of good stores and places to eat such as Old Navy, Tilly's, Marshall's, Starbucks, Saks Fifth Avenue, Best Buy, and the Container Store. Then just walk a little further down the steps and there's Nordstrom Rack, DSW, Jamba Juice, Zach's Chicken, Amorcito, Pizza Press, and Karl Strauss. There's so many options, you can definitely spend hours here, take it from me, I definitely have! My usual places to go are Marshall's and Nordstrom Rack. Even though this is across from Crystal Court/SCP, Metro Pointe stands on it's own when it comes to a shopping center (it even has movie theaters). Highly recommend visiting if you have not. I mainly come here for the movie theater and also they have free concerts in the courtyard near the fountain area. Me and my friends like to come here for a casual evening of music and dancing. This is a weird little plaza but I have found some actual treasures at the Marshalls here. It looks like this was a cool concept in the 90's where you would live, work and shop within literal walking distance, but it needs an update. There's a movie theater here, but it doesn't pop up on Fandango. Definitely worth visiting for the stores and restaurants, but it's just a weird location. read more

Metro Point lives up to this lifestyle by offering restaurants, shops, a large patio area seating, weekend live music, movies and free parking. Came here 4 days before Christmas and this place was a complete Ghost town! Hardly anyone was here and it made shopping very easy and pleasant. They had a pretty Christmas tree display and the place was decorated with garlands. Overall, it was a 5 star experience - no problems on this trip. read more

I used to come here more often, especially around Xmas. Now, not as much. If you still like brick-and-mortar stores, Metro Pointe will probably take care of most of your needs. The Container Store - My wife likes it. DSW - My wife likes it. Marshall's - I haven't shopped here in years. Nordstrom Rack - Good selection of reasonably priced clothing (refer to my review). Tilly's - I bought a pair of sneakers here because they were half price. If I see them on sale here again, I shall return. Boudin - Reasonable. Refer to my review. Karl Strauss - I love beer. Refer to my review. This is the place to hang out if your partner is into shopping but you're not. I recommend visiting during happy hour, and they tap a cask every Thursday at 5:30. A few security guys out of uniform rolled up on me and kicked me out of the parking lot at 10:30 pm on Thursday after seeing a movie. They said all the shops are closed & I need to leave now. One guy was dressed in a white wife beater and white basketball short and the other in jeans and a tee shirt. I swear I thought I was about to be robbed for a second. Very unprofessional approach there. Do they just hire anyone these days? I felt unsafe from the moment they arrived and started demanding I leave didn't ask if I needed help. Just plain rude and looked in my vehicle. I understand I'm black but they should have at least asked to see my reciept to the movie that just let out. Came to see a movie with friends and the concessions stand took over 15 minutes to get through. That is just frustrating. I might be spoiled now with all the different reclining theaters out there, but Metro Point's theater is just uncomfortable. Not as bad as Triangle square, you do get stadium seating, so I will give them that. Yet, last night I was in a very long "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" movie (2hr40mins), and felt like there wasn't enough space to go down the row to go to the bathroom without making a major disturbance. Also the chairs are too bouncy, distracts me and yeah just are not those comfy recliners. Lastly, where are your popcorn oil dispensers? They are either well hidden or don't exist. Dear Metro Pointe, Four beautiful women graced your presence tonight under the clear starry sky to hear Luis Villegas and Yussi give a last minute impromptu show in the courtyard behind Barnes and Noble. It was a night of intrigue and the audience was romanced by the Latin Jazz guitar music. There was dancing, merriment, and the evening went well. Other than that, why is it that I always feel like I've teleported to New York when I come and visit? I've never even been to New York but I feel like I'm there when I visit this location. Or I'm at a skating rink or there could be a big giant Christmas tree somewhere around here. Besides all that, there's enough to do here to keep me satisfied. I can shop at Old Navy, Best Buy, David's Bridal, Loehmanns, Marshalls, DSW, Nordstroms Rack, and Barnes and Noble. Oh and if that's not enough, you can shop at Crystal Court next door or take the bridge to South Coast Plaza. As for food, the choices are limited. You can eat at Subway, Karl Strauss, Boudin Bakery, Arriba, and Cosi or of course, get some Starbucks or Jamba Juice. The Color Me Mine store here is just fantastic though. We wandered in and they had the best selection of items to paint and create than I've ever seen at any other store and the guy who runs the place was very knowledgeable and had painted most of the sample pieces in the stores so he knew all the cool techniques. Regardless, we soaked in some great music, ate great food, and had a fantastic night. read more

Metro Pointe At South Coast, an outdoor mall, is across from South Coast Plaza, just about 0.2 miles away actually. It is close enough that you can actually walk over, which is what my mom and I did on our long shopping day last Sunday evening (after we had finished our shopping at South Coast Plaza first but of course). I have always wanted to go to the Metro Pointe but have never done so until last Sunday. There are plenty of shops to browse and shop at (most are visible by the freeway). On this visit, my mom and shopped at Nordstrom Rack (one of the largest in So. Cal and one of the best! Too bad I do not live closer... probably better for my wallet though), DSW Shoes and Marshalls. We would have shopped at a few more stores but unfortunately by the time we were done, most were already closed. The next time I come over here, I may want to check out Karl Strauss Brewing Company for a bite to eat. And maybe next time I will be lucky to check out the free concerts. read more

This WAS a five star shopping destination, not for the vast variety, but for the fact that i could not be in the area without checking Nordstrom Rack and Loehmann's here first. Now, Loehmann's is nothing but a memory (RIP) Why would they close??? Especially this was such a nice, clean, upscale location... I was somehow not in the mood to hit South Coast Plaza so instead I came here. It was very crowded and I had to park away in the parking structure across the complex. DSW, Nordstrom Rack, Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, Old Navy, and Best Buy are stores that I hit and usually like to go inside. I also went inside Loehmann's for the first time since I've never been to the much bigger L.A. one on La Cienega near the Beverly Center. The lines in some of the stores were very long! I was happy that I found a cute Lucky Brand purse in DSW and the line there wasn't long at all! read more

There is really nothing much about this complex to talk about. I would guess that most people come here to visit one of the main anchors - the theatres, Nordstrom Rack, Best Buy, The Container Store, etc. Other than these and a food court, there are a handful of other retailers (Loehmann's Old Navy, etc.) and that's pretty much the complex. The food court has both fast foods (Flame Broiler, Subway, etc.) and nice full service restaurants (Finbars, Karl Strauss). Parking is ok during the week, but could be difficult on weekends. The basic layout of the complex is not the best and it does create some gridlocks on weekends and during busy shopping seasons. On weekends, during the day, it's best to enter through the South Coast Drive entrance (just off the 405 freeway) and use the parking structure there. It's usually less crowded. From there, you'll walk right into the food court. It's probably a complex you'll visit with a purpose or with a store/restaurant in mind, and probably not a place that you'll just stroll around as there really isn't much there. On the contrary, I can go to South Coast Plaza or the Irvine Spectrum with absolutely no purpose in mind and spend half a day there. read more

Always a fan of the metro point! I came over here to eat at Karl Strauss and he delivered. The grounds here actually looked great- I also went into the high end swap meet, known as the rack- that place is a mad house!!!! Tons of shops here- if you want easy in and out, I think this is a better option than the mall. read more

My only complaint is sometimes parking can be a bit of a hastle. Mostly because other customers decide to just walk where ever they want whenever they want which causes traffic to back up. But if you're not there during peak shopping days/hours, it's a great alternative to the madness that is South Coast Plaza across the street. read more

It's not one of my top spots to go shopping but I do enjoy coming here from time to time. I don't find the best deals but it is in a convenient enough of a location and is very clean! Parking isn't too great but there are usually spots open on the Starbucks/Tilly's/Old Navy side when it gets busy and there is also the option to park underground [or in a structure towards the back]. I frequent Marshall's, DSW Shoes and Nordstrom Rack and don't really bother with the other stores. I am excited that Pizza Press is coming in the summer!!! [similar to Pieology/Blaze/etc.] I haven't dined at Karl Strauss but I heard it was whatevs .. at least the beer there is delicious! The bartenders and other staff members are all very friendly and I don't go often enough but I'm sure it's full of regulars because everyone acts like old friends - especially on the weekend :) read more

I love coming here for few things. One is Regal theatre. It's older stadium seating, but if you come in the morning to first showing it's 50% off which is cool. So about 6.50 a ticket. Which leaves more money for shopping here. Second is DSW shoe warehouse, off 5th, Nordstrom Rack, Marshall's, Container Store, and Best Buy. Well this place works well if you need to go to a big box store that is in here or wanna catch a flick. The box stores are all fairly straightforward. Best Buy, Container store, Marshalls, Old Navy, Off 5th or Nordstroms Rack (cant remember which one it is), etc there are a lot more places in here but most are of that variety. Pro Tip: Try to park on the deck of the structure, cars in the structure are known to get broken into frequently downstairs... They have a bunch of restaurants and a starbucks. The only restaurant I have had a very good experience at here is the Boudin. I was disappointed with the Karl Strauss and Sam Woo here. However If you need something from one of the Box stores, they all had acceptable service and normal pricing with some sales or clearance items. read more

Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, Jamba Juice was the staple for a long time. The Container Store is always fun to browse, and the Best Buy is pretty decent too. My favorite is the Nordstrom Rack and the DSW, which is huge and has a fun clearance section. TJ Maxx is great for exercise clothing. Now, they added a Loehman's which draws a lot more people in...but when I go on the weekdays, it's still nice and not too crowded. read more
