They accept VAT forms for ambassadors that are exempt from taxes. Communication: They have been very sweet and have tried everything in their power to convey information to me. One spoke mild English and the other most definitely tried. Which in all honesty, they didn't have to but thankfully they did do it. They weren't upset when I decided to communicate a more difficult message through google translate (because my German is extremely basic and structured wrong) Pricing and help: I came in with no knowledge of their store, with my heart set on one particular razor set. Mühle Kosmo DE Razor with Bogwood trimming and a medium badger hair brush. With all of these extremely specific requests they happily ordered the item, didn't expect me to pay until I received it (which places trust in inventory to the customer-me) took my phone number, and when the item didn't arrive on time they were very apologetic even though it was out of their hands. Not to mention, the razor I purchased from them, is being purchased at the exact price the wholesale brand store sells them for, so they are not upselling me at all. Bottom line: The two women I have met that are operating the store are so kind and operate with such efficiency that I'm confident they could run most any shop similar and be successful. 5 out of 5.

Spoke to manager also but same response although he was much more polite. no wonder amazon and other USA vendors are taking over the world. Cusotmers like me and my associates are prepared to PAY MORE to purchase from them and have excellent customer service and flexible return policy. Metro and other big German retialers are on the road ot extinction and they DESERVE IT.

You have to be very careful of sell by dates - even the long life milk might be out of date by tomorrow and the same applies to the fresh fruit and veg, you have to check everything very carefully, the other week I had to tell them that half the lemons were going green and fuzzy, one was even sporting a nifty beard (this might just be specific to the Darmstadt branch). The prices really aren't that good, you can usually buy it at the same price or cheaper elsewhere (especially electrical goods). And the cafe there is terrible. One of the worst I've ever been in. I've been to wholesale places in the UK and Metro doesn't live up to the name.
