I called them the night before the trip asking the same thing-no response. When they didn't show up at 4:45 in the morning when they were supposed to, I called again and the gentleman that answered the phone apologized and said nobody told him about it and that he was in Kent city. We ended up driving ourselves to the airport and will have over $200 in airport parking fees thanks to their non-responsiveness. Obviously will never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

With the significant investment which has made the GR Airport a best-in-class regional airport, I'm surprised the Airport Authority allows Metro Cab to continue to operate given its less than two star rating average from nearly 40 reviewers. I have used them around 10 times and based on the experience consistently well below expectations, I will no longer use Metro Cab. Here's three reasons: They have overcharge me multiple times versus their airport posted rates and when this is challenged, the drivers have acted aggressively which is concerning when they now know where you live. Their cab interiors are heavily soiled, worn down and unpleasant. Another time I booked a reservation with Metro Cab for an early flight and no one showed. When I called the company, the automated system stated I had a reservation. When I finally was able to get to a live person, she informed me that no driver chose my ride so no one is coming. The definition of a reservation means some is committed to come but this is not the case with Metro Cab. Save money, be safer and get much better service with Uber or Lyft. Advice for the Airport Authority would be to make it easier for Uber and Lyft customers by allowing these drivers to park at the curb as is done for the Metro Cabs as that is the primary reason anyone would choose Metro Cab over another transportation alternative.

Fortunately, I had a great experience. My driver, LeRoy, showed up precisely on time, helped with the luggage, and was a total southern gentleman (though he has migrated north, the manners are still courtly). You DO have to call and confirm when you reserve online, but I think that is more for fraud prevention than anything else, since the phone confirmation only took a minute. Yellow Cab is less expensive than an airport limo ($37 from Comstock Park to GRR), and I'd have given them five stars if they had rock bottom prices, but if they did they would probably lose all the nice drivers. In short, I'm keeping this company in my phone and will use them the next time I'm in GR.
