She explained that his phone wasn't eligible for the SIM card exchange, so he had to get a new phone. There was a decent trade in offer so he got a pretty sweet deal. Merry Christmas a few days late. The iPhone 13 was $799 (Fitting for my 799th Review) and they gave $600 for his old outdated iPhone 7. Now he has a newer phone than me! Grrrrr.... He's old because I'm old and that's how math works. He couldn't remember his Apple password so the wonderful woman working helped him reset it and write down his new password. He was surprised it had to have a number in it. She was super patient (more than I would be). She said it would be about an hour for the transfer then said he'd have to type in his password one more time, so I joked that it would take 2 hours. After we were all done laughing, we decided to go shopping then grab some food (tacos). When we got back, his phone was ready, he verified his photos and work app were all transferred over to the new phone. Easy peasy! Thanks SO much to the woman working here. Great job and great patience with us as we had to do this by the end of 2021! Well, we thought we did as Sprint extended the outage a few more months, but we're glad we got it over with. I've been with Sprint for a long time and the transition to T-Mobile has been pretty good. The T-Mobile Tuesday app occasionally has some pretty sweet deals. If we ever have to switch phones around again in Daytona, this store would be first on the list.

So I've had 2 experiences with the specific T mobile location within the Volusia, both involving…read moreswapping out for a new phone. The first was just fine. It's not a quick process but it came and went without issue, so that experience I would have to be fair and say it was a 5/5 HOWEVER. On the 2nd trip a few years later. We go in to have the same process, definitely different people working this time, with there only being 2 people there. The person helping up was very new, but was nice and overall had a pleasant experience. It definitely took longer than if an experienced worker was doing it. I wouldn't be surprised if they kind of just threw him into the job and be a "learn as you go" situation. But anyways he was fine. The issue was during the process, the other worker who was helping an older man with switching cell service or something. Started to slightly bring up political discussion to one another. Once it became clear they were on the same side. They both, yes Including the Tmobile employee started openly discussing different touchy political events going on with one sided view on them. I think the Tmobile employee might have actually been one of the managers, he certainly wasn't new. Politics being talked about from employees, openly is a big big no no in the work place when dealing with customers around you. If it's in a quiet setting amongst co-workers away from customers that's a different situation. It was ridiculously unprofessional. And again I'm not outright saying "what they said" (the customer can say what they want. But the worker shouldn't reply or have a full on discussion outloud during work). If this was a private business, then sure do what you want. You'll lose customers being vocal like that. But this is a subset of a major Corporation i.e T Mobile. I'd be safe to say they would be reprimanded if an undercover TMobile Corporate agent were to have heard the discussion being talked about in the middle of the shop for everyone in there to hear.

If I could give zero stars I would. Beware of JASON that store manager. He is shady, and will add…read morethings you didn't ask for and tell you things are FREE that aren't. Make sure they explain everything in finite detail. Once he's screwed up your account then you'll get the pleasure of sitting on hold with customer care for an hour with some idiot who doesn't know what they're doing.
