Original review: So Almost Perfect is a chain with several locations. Prior to my visit to this Brockville location, I had only ever been to the Toronto location. I would say that the Brockville location is comparable to the Toronto location. Almost Perfect is a grocery store outlet. They sell items that are "almost perfect" like mis-formed chocolate bars, or broken cookies. They also sell items that are approaching their best-before date or discontinued products, like things in flavours that didn't sell well. Their prices are cheap, cheap, cheap. I got some kale chips that usually sell for $6.99 a bag at Loblaws for only $3.33 a bag (the "best-before date" was 3 months from the date of purchase, so not bad at all). They had lots of Udi's gluten-free breads going for $10 for 3 loaves. They had Annie's organic gummies for $2.99 a box. Inventory changes regularly, so it's a surprise with every visit :) This location is a stand alone store (not in a strip mall). There's an attached parking lot with free parking. Staff are super nice and helpful. They only take cash or debit. No credit cards. This place is awesome. If I lived in Brockville, I would go every week!

They overcharged my mother's prescription on her Visa and I had to ask for a refund of over $100. They put the wrong pills in my mother's packaged prescription more than once. Thank God I always reviewed the pills. There is ALWAYS a minimum of half an hour wait time even when there are no other customers at any of the 4 service windows. Today, again I went to pick up the prescription, told it was not ready and it would be 15-20 minutes. I left, then came back 40 minutes later and again had to wait another 15 minutes as I was told that the pharmacist had to review the prescription. Note, I had been told that it would only be less then 5 minutes. I waited at the consultation window for the pharmacist. The pharmacist "Hina" is rude and nasty, she INSISTED that I sit on the yellow seats rather then wait at the consulting window. THERE WAS NO "PLEASE", it was said in the matter of a demand. When I said that I will wait where I want, she rudely stated that the window was for consultation only. Please note, there were no other customers waiting at any of the windows or on the yellow seats. During my wait time, Hina decided to have a social conversation with "Jeana" who was sitting beside her. So much for customer service. I will be looking for a new pharmacy! For instance, this is where you would find the red, yellow, green, and red peppers that are perhaps a little smaller or misshapen than you would find at the competition (think: farm boy, or Sobeys, Loblaws even), or not as round as the more expensive grocery stores, but certainly, these are still edible and tasty. We tend to look for the specials (you can look in flipp if you have a smart phone for the best prices in your neighbourhood.) What I often find here in their very small flower section is that the blooms can be past their best-buy date, grown but not at their peak. But then, the bouquets are often offered at a better price, as a result. The Food Basics has a decent international section, considering that they are a standard grocery store. The service is usually good. COVID restrictions are adhered to, with well marked aisles throughout the store and at the registers. They also have lottery services.
