They failed to set up aftercare (doctors' appointments/referrals, imaging, continuing medications) properly, which meant he waited too long for care, went without proper medication treatments, and ended up with worsening diagnoses each time. He now has permanent damage to the organ affected. We were assured by a doctor that he would be sent home with proper pain control and that was also another failure on their part. They have some good nurses and techs. However, we experienced total negligence, belittling, and rudeness from some of their RNs. I am a nurse myself and had I not fought for his discharge orders, this hospital would have sent him home yet again, with improper and lacking aftercare. I honestly worry about any patient put in their care now. I will make sure none of my loved ones ever come here, which is sad because my mother worked here for 20 years and I've been a lifelong Deaconess client. I witnessed it with my own eyes. They give anti-psychotic meds, sedatives and pain killers, because they don't know how nor do they care how, to properly treat the patients. They administer these drugs so they don't have to deal with them...just knock them out and keep the patient drugged up! Mine would literally call me screaming, "Get me out of here, NOW! They're just keeping me drugged!" IT'S ALL ABOUT SUCKING OFF THE MEDICARE AND THE INSURANCES. A worker even mentioned that! I am telling you...IT IS BEYOND YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE TO BRING AND LEAVE ANYONE HERE...PERIOD! I cannot emphasize the seriousness of this enough. What I have said is not enough! I said maybe you can add something to a swap that he's already had. Then he was talking about doing more blood work, which he has had all week long and everything came back normal. So we proceeded to say no we didn't want anything and then he started changing his wording and contradicting himself because we wanted to leave. I will say the first and most important reason that I myseof pick this location everytime that one of us needs to be seen would be because of the staff! Marcy Mabry, APRN, (which is the clinic Director at the Henderson clinic) is so sweet, patient, and very attentive when it comes to her patients she is seeing. She is quick and amazing everytime we are there, but she is also very thorough when it comes to the examination, diagnosing, and the overall attention she gives to hearing all your concerns as a patient. (Quick isn't always a bad thing and she has proven that to me as a parent more than once). She has even just recently caught my son's low oxygen levels due to a pneumonia diagnosis she had come to the conclusion of, and she was sure to schedule us a follow up for him in just a few days from then so that she could ensure that his oxygen levels had safely came back up after some medication and rest. She is always on point in all the times I've had to come there with my children or myself! Also the ALL staff! Everyone there from the most kindest front desk secretary ever, to everyone that is apart of the Nurse staff there are just so kind, understanding, yet gentle when necessary. And of course Mabry! They are all always so friendly and consistent! They have always made our experiences easy, comfortable, and smooth. I want to add that the building itself inside is also always clean and tidy everytime I've been in there. You couldn't ever tell sick people have been in and out of there at all all day long everytime I've been there. The check in process has also evolved as well, and it is super easy these days! We absolutely adore them all there and they are always our go too when we aren't being seen by our family doctor's or specialists and need someone to count on!!!‍

She is always smiling and in a good mood so helpful and the young lady that took my vitals name Madison very professional for such a young lady and of course I saw Dr. Amy again and cannot say enough good things about her and this place I recommend it to anyone who had the urge to go sit down at an ER for simple things like colds and flu.
