The Nurses and staff were amazing and attentive to all I required or wanted. The doctor visits are done thru video conference and were surprisingly better than if they would have come in person, the doctors did not seem rushed, very explanatory for my situation with time for my questions and concerns. I have not received any financial obligations at this time, so I cant comment on that side yet. But I will when it all catches up to me. The OB clinic is okay, but there are several providers and you don't always see the same doctor/ midwife. There were times some employees were a little condescending, but overall I had a good experience during pregnancy. They scheduled an induction and gave me a different date than they gave the hospital so I got a call that I "no showed" until I told them my midwife told me Tuesday, not Monday. The doctor that told me he would be delivering for me wasn't even there and a midwife I had never met ended up delivering. My son was in the NICU - the staff were kind and helpful. My nurses on the post-partum floor were incredible and very attentive. The OB clinic had some issues with my post-partum care and I had to call several times to get what I needed. First they lost the paperwork so I completed it again then they forgot to send the paperwork. What should have taken a week or two took over two months. The ER is quick and has saved my son's life more than once. Our last visit was on Sunday when he began having seizures and staff was quick to get him into the trauma bay and stabilized. I did have to finally yell out "who do I need to talk to about (medicine)?" because I was telling them what he needed per another doctor, but nobody seemed to be listening. I get they were in crisis mode trying to save his life, but the meds I was referring to were life saving in addition to the other meds they were giving. Finally someone took charge and told me to tell her the started directing others on what to do. Things were smooth after that. Overall we love this Christus location and wouldn't go anywhere else for emergent care.

From the moment we walked in, the entire team was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely compassionate. The staff made the check-in process smooth and efficient, quickly getting us into a room. NP Michelle completed a thorough assessment, and Dr. Harrison did an excellent job placing sutures while ensuring my daughter was as comfortable as possible. My daughter was extremely anxious, but every member of the team showed patience, kindness, and reassurance throughout the visit. A special thank you to Nurse Sam, who went above and beyond to help my daughter take her antibiotics, something that was not easy given her anxiety. We were also very impressed with how quickly everything was handled; we were in and out within an hour, which is rare for any emergency care setting. Overall, an outstanding experience during a stressful situation. We are very grateful for the level of care and compassion we received.

The doctors and nurses were great and very knowledgeable. I was treated in the ER and then transferred to ICU. There I continued to receive excellent care by the hospitalist including a cardiologist. I felt calm and I believe the nurses and all supportive ppl care about giving the best care possible. I highly recommend this hospital above all in San Antonio. The rooms are nice size and comfortable! I even had a sofa which turned into a bed! For me it's important for love ones to be with you at these times. I was taken care of superbly.

This seemingly typical childhood incident turned into an emergency when she started showing signs of a concussion and we were pointed to the direction of this emergency room. She was immediately taken back for a CT scan and was provided zofran for her nausea. The provider spent a great amount of time discussing symptoms and plan of care with me. A skull fracture couldn't be ruled out, but a follow up x-ray once we got home did indeed confirm a skull fracture. I'm so thankful for the nurses and doctor who were working this day and took great care of my girl! Her situation could've been so much worse, but with the quick thinking of the professionals on site, she was ready to go home a few hours later. I would also like to add that the facility was very clean. If you are there awhile, they also have an area to grab a small snack for you or your loved one.

However, there was a man sitting behind the front desk in regular clothes with no scrubs or name tag, staring directly at me. When she asked why I was there, I felt uncomfortable discussing my private medical information in front of him. She noticed and asked him to step away. I explained that I had just found out I was pregnant, have a history of an ectopic pregnancy, and had started spotting, so I wanted to make sure everything was okay. She took my ID and insurance, and I sat down. While I was waiting, I could clearly hear staff in the open office talking about me, saying things like, "Why did she come here?" A man dressed in slacks and a dress shirt--not scrubs--came out and asked what was wrong. After I explained everything again, he told me he didn't know what they could do for me and would ask someone else. Then another man in teal scrubs came out and asked, "What's your deal?" I was taken aback and asked what he meant. He then told me this facility was for drug and alcohol treatment and that I was in the wrong place. I felt embarrassed, unwelcome, and like I was being treated as a joke during what was already a frightening situation. If this facility is not equipped to evaluate pregnancy-related emergencies, that should be made very clear. The name "Family Hospital," the signage, and the online information are misleading and led me to believe I could receive emergency medical care there. I left feeling confused and humiliated when I should have been treated with compassion and respect. One thing I would avoid is saying "DO NOT GO THERE!!!!" if you're aiming for the review to be taken seriously. I told him a nerve in my nieck that gets pinched sometimes and is extremely painful. I told him that I've always just gotten mild steroid injections right on top of the nerve following the muscle down to my shoulder. Works every time, has for years. 10 minutes and done. This doctor looked at me like I grew horns right in front of him. Like he had never heard of this. Says he won't give me an injection into my spine. I told him it wasn't my spine it was a nerve/muscle that runs along my neck to my shoulder. How could he have never heard of something I've been having done in several PCPs offices over 20 + years. Gave me a RX for meds that I couldn't even get filled there. I would have had to go to a 24 hour pharmacy 20 minutes away. At 1:30 in the morning. They were awful quick to ask me to pay the $100 copay for my ER visit. No problems there. That part was no problem. This place is a rip off. An emergency room that is in no emergency to help but in a big big rush to take your money. Avoid this place and go to an Urgent Care center or a REAL emergency room. Don't take chances on your health by going to places like this.
