We have found two other AO Drs in our area, but their level of care just does not compare to that of Dr. Mark Pierce Chiropractic. Their more all-natural approach to chiropractic care (Atlas Orthogonal) was known to my husband but foreign to me. I instantly felt relaxed and comfortable with Dr. Pierce. My X-rays showed that my spine was indeed out of alignment, most likely due to everyday living - poor posture and sleep habits. And Dr. Pierce instantly noticed that my atlas was "red hot" and asked if I ever felt discomfort there (at the base of the neck). I said, "Of course, all of the time. I get migraines at least twice a month, but I thought that was just me." Well after my first adjustment, I felt relief in that area for the first time since I was a young teenager. I had become so used to that constant pain and migraines that I did not know what it felt like to be relieved of that pressure. At the time of the visit, I was wearing a temporary splint placed by urgent care and was experiencing pain and swelling. I informed Dr. Graham that I did not feel the splint was fitting properly and asked for guidance regarding appropriate immobilization. I was told that the splint "looked fine." When I expressed continued concern, I was advised to purchase a brace from Amazon and to work on making a fist so that my hand would not become stiff. I was not provided with a specific recommendation regarding the type of brace that should be used, nor was I given detailed instructions regarding activity restrictions or warning signs to monitor. Most concerning, I was instructed to return in four months. I specifically asked whether the intended follow-up interval was four weeks, and I was informed that it was indeed four months. A four-month follow-up appointment was subsequently scheduled. As a healthcare professional myself, I understand the importance of preventing stiffness and promoting recovery. However, I left the appointment feeling dismissed and without clear guidance regarding the management of an acute fracture. My concerns were not adequately addressed, and I remain troubled by the absence of earlier follow-up or imaging to evaluate healing and alignment. I respectfully request that this encounter be reviewed and that I be provided with clarification regarding the rationale for the treatment plan and follow-up interval. Chris was very knowledgeable, and you can tell he takes his craft very seriously. He explains every movement and exercise carefully and intently. He informed me of things I wasn't aware of about my body and stuff to pay attention to. He hooked up these cups and sticker things on my body, and man, it felt weird, but I felt a lot better. From Chris, I was sent off to Jess, and she was cautious with the areas that were in pain. She cracked me up and folded me, and I felt like a brand-new baby. She even looked at other places that were in pain. Jess introduced me to some new exercises and different things to pay attention to how I sleep and my neck position. I found myself needing chiropractic care after childbirth and I was put on a full year adjustment plan with Dr. Gibson. I initially had no complaints but 2 weeks out from my "graduation" of said plan, I developed nerve pain that was not part of my original problem. While I did enjoy working with Dr. Gibson, my concerns about the new nerve pain were never rectified and the prices skyrocketed to an amount I could no longer afford. While they do offer in office X-rays and spinal decompression, this was about the only difference when deciding to go with a larger chain like The Joint at a more affordable rate.

I was very clear about pre-existing neurological problems. The quality of care and concern was lacking and it's all about money for this office. On my 12th visit I told the doctor something really hurt, but he continued and then when it was excruciating he was dismissive and told me to calm down he could see a PTSD reaction. The first visit the staff had told me a specific co-pay, but were not up front about additional charges. After the 12 visits they erroneously said my insurance only covers 12. Insurance will cover, they didn't want to deal with it. They have left me with more severe injuries than I started. I've been bedridden and a prisoner of my house for over a month due to injuries I sustained there. The front office staff is friendly. One star is being gracious.
